List character traits that helped make these figures successful in their quests Describe the contributions of each of these figures Utilize GALILEO to search for information Introduce collaborate through Wordle, Padlet, and Google Docs. Explore different Web 2.0 presentation Research and synthesizing information to create a presentation using a Web 2.0 tool.

Standards: Common Core Georgia Performance Standard SS4H4 The student will explain the causes, events, and results of the American Revolution. d. Guided Questions How can learning about ones characteristics help us understand more about a person? Who were some of the major individuals in the Revolutionary War? Why do you think they are so memorable? What historical character is your favorite? Why? Why should we use a variety of resources to explore more information? Why isnt just one article enough? How can we use technology to represent what we know?

Lesson Layout Students will review information on the Scoop.it page. Students will also find 2 additional resources using GALIEO kids or other creditable sources. Students will use Google Docs to fill out information for guidance when working through the mini lesson module. Students will post at least one fact on the Padlet website. Students will work in groups and create a Wordle on the chosen individual. Students will investigate at least 4 Web 2.0 tools. Students will create a presentation on 1 key individual from the American Revolution.
