GUTEX insulating wood fibreboards are the ideal choice for both already existing buildings and new buildings, fulfilling and even surpassing all structural and environmental considerations. Some of their key features are: Superb water vapour permeable design, which ensures effective diffusion in any constructional application. Exceptional thermal storage capacity, which guarantees superior insulation when its most needed in the heat of summer and the cold of winter. Unsurpassed absorption of impact and structural noise. Easy and uncomplicated code-compliant disposal and recycling.
enough thermal storage capacity to ensure that the flow of warmth from the exterior to the interior area is adequately dampened. Since wood is naturally endowed with this faculty, GUTEX wood fibreboards are ideally suited for protection against the heat in summer. The open-pore fibre structure of GUTEX wood fibreboards also furnishes them with an uncanny ability to absorb sound waves of various frequencies. In addition to GUTEXs quality control system, all GUTEX products are approved by an independent, authorised test and certification agency (FMPA Stuttgart). GUTEXs quality and environmental protection management system, certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EMAS II (EU Eco Audit Ordinance) guarantees GUTEX customers that the products are environmentally compatible with consistent, high quality. All GUTEX products are manufactured from spruce and fir obtained through sustained yield forestry practices.
Besides providing protection against the cold in winter, GUTEX wood fibreboards offer optimum insulation in summer. To protect living spaces, especially those directly under roofs against heat, the insulation material used must have

Often, it is necessary to insulate the interior sides of outer walls (for example, if protected historic buildings are involved). GUTEX wood fibreboards qualities make them ideal for such applications. Without suffering a loss in their insulation capacity, GUTEX fibreboards are capable of absorbing
and releasing up to 20% of their weight in moisture. GUTEX Multiplex-top is suitable as a substrate for plaster or wallpaper. We recommend the use of GUTEX Thermosafe with GUTEX Multiplextop if a thicker insulation layer is required.

GUTEX floorboards are suitable for both concrete and wood beam ceilings. Just which board is the most suitable depends on the nature of the specific application. Determining criteria may include technical requirements, surface covering, built-up height and substructure.
Installed under wood, laminate and parquet flooring or carpeting, GUTEX insulating boards significantly improve the quality of living, providing superior protection against airborne and impact noise as well as very effective thermal insulation under any screed application.

Insulation against the heat in summer GUTEX wood insulation boards protect living areas from high temperatures, in particular, areas under the roof. Thanks to their high thermal storage capacity, they effectively dampen the flow of warmth from exterior to interior areas.
Environmental compatibility The raw material for all GUTEX insulation boards comes form wood that is harvested and grown using sustained forestry management practices. GUTEX exclusively uses untreated spruce and fir chips and shavings, which are by-products obtained from other timber manufacturing processes. All GUTEX insulation boards are tested and certified as
Insulation against the cold in winter Effective insulation reduces your heating bills and creates a comfortable living environment in winter. Due to their low thermal conductivity (D = 0.037 W/mK), GUTEX insulating wood fibreboards provide optimum insulation in winter, protecting the interior of your house from heat loss and ingression of cold.
