3. Products
The Butterfly Aircraft LLC is a retail company of kit parts for small, personal aircraft kits for easy final assembly by the customer. Each kit comes with every part necessary, detailed instructions (approximately 100-300 hours required) and factory support. As SATS moves into full implementation, it is believed completed aircraft will be licensed for sale. The FAA is certainly involved in the SATS process. To date, final assembly by the customer is required for liability reasons. We will sell the Kits and the Parts for the following models:
Welcome to The Emperor Butterfly gyroplane. This vehicle is "The seed to the rain forest ". The Butterfly airframe is the beginning of a new wave of transportation for the modern world. The Butterfly starts out as a small single place vehicle that easily transforms into other models with bolt on modifications that will be discussed later. It is so small it easily fits into a trailer or the back of a standard sized pickup truck. The Emperor Butterfly is a Personal Air Vehicle . This Gyroplane easily stores in your home garage and uses normal automotive gasoline in a two-cycle engine. Less than 100 hours are needed to assemble the kit that comes complete. Maximum speed is 63 miles per hour. It needs approximately 500 feet to take off and 3 to 5 feet for landing.
The Monarch is a high performance gyroplane. This model will fit into the Experimental class. The Monarch has basically a Butterfly airframe with bolt on modifications which include: (1) A larger Rotax engine with 66 hp. (2) The Metro Launch System (optional) pre rotator gives The Monarch a shorter ground roll on takeoff. (3) The new patented "G Force Landing Gear" is available for this model. This GFLG has been tested to over 500 ft/minute vertical descent all the way to the ground without damage to the airframe or harm to the pilot. (This machine was on display in the NASA Tent at Sun & Fun 2004 in Lakeland Florida.) Other bolt on items are: (1) Metro Launch System (a strong pre rotator). (2) G-Force Landing Gear.
The Aurora Butterfly is a Rotax 912S powered gyroplane. It comes standard with the G-Force Magnum All Terrain landing gear and the new 912 Metro Launch System. This unit leaves the ground in 3 to 5 seconds and climbs at over 1,000 ft/minute. It can carry up to 20 gallons of fuel (reserve fuel tanks optional) and can be used on large ranches, for thousands of other applications, or just for fun. Valorie White, our Executive Vice President, is seated in the Aurora and will be showing off all of our new products around the world.
The Super Sky Cycle prototype was at SunN Fun 2006 in Lakeland Florida at The Butterfly LLC display at Chopper town and was on display at the Flying Car Forum held by Larry Neal on Friday, April 7th.
This picture was taken in early 2006 when the WFAA Channel 8 News was shooting a news story on the prototype Flying Motorcycle. The rotor folds from 2610 in flight mode to 13 4 in drive m ode. The rear wheels pull you down the road as a legal 3 wheeled (trike) motorcycle. After taking it to Sun & Fun and Oshkosh with the 66 hp 2 stroke engine a 100 hp airplane motor and separate drive engine was added. The request from the crowds was to have the dependability of a four stroke flight engine if the machine was to be used for extensive cross country flights. We have learned to listen to our customers and the new production Super Sky Cycle was born.
This is the production Super Sky Cycle being shown by Valorie White. The Super Sky Cycle kit comes standard with the Rotax 912ULS 4 cylinder, 4 stroke 100 hp Aircraft Engine. It can also be upgraded to the Rotax turbocharged 115 hp Aircraft Engine. The Super Sky Cycle has a separate small engine (not the flying engine) that drives the rear wheels down the road and is operated using the handle bars just like other motorcycles and allows the SSC to drive down the road as a legal three wheeled motorcycle. Now the Super Sky Cycle can fit in your garage (clears an 8 garage door header), drive down the road, and fly through the air. A unique feature is that this one flies and drives. A major problem in air transportation is ground transportation. Flying to an airport to find there is no way to get to an appointment or home, causes people to forget flying, opting for traffic jams and lost time. The SUPER SKY CYCLE lands virtually anywhere, even at an airport, and drives home or to an appointment, where it is easily parked in a garage or normal parking space. This aircraft routinely lands with the engine at idle, with no ground roll, and descends slower than a parachute. Legally, this vehicle is a motorcycle, with three wheels on the ground. In fact, it is licensed as a motorcycle.
The Golden Butterfly is a Subaru powered 2.5 liter engine with190 HP two place trainer developed especially to train people how to fly the Emperor, Monarch, Aurora, Super Sky Cycle, and Golden Butterfly. It includes the patented G Force Landing Gear, Low Rider folding mast, vibration dampeners, and electric pre rotator as standard equipment. The Golden Butterfly won the Outstanding New Design award at Airventure 2004 held at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. A 305 hp Turbocharged Golden Butterfly (pictured above) is also available. These machines can be used for training, drug intervention, border patrol, cargo haulers, crop dusting, or 1000 other uses around the world.

Market Segmentation
Most important in our marketing approach will be the utilization of the contact and relationship base in the aviation industry already established by Larry Neal and The Butterfly Aircraft LLC from his contacts and influence at air shows across the county. All of our Dealers contact information will be included on our website: www.thebutterflyllc.com Word-of-mouth advertising represents an important aspect, as well, with the quality of each project holding paramount value in the furtherance of our good reputation. As our dealers around the world set up training facilities using the Golden Butterfly trainers, they will draw customers to their individual business locations and have a cash of customers for our products. They will make money training and also from sales.
4.2.
"Gyroplane " is an official term designated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) describing an aircraft that gets lift from a freely turning rotary wing (rotor blades), and which derives its thrust from an enginedriven propeller. Historically, this type of aircraft has been known as the autogiro and the gyrocopter. The early names and variants were filed as trademarks. Gyroplanes derive lift from freely turning rotor blades tilted back to catch the air. The rushing air spins the rotor as the aircraft is pushed by an enginedriven propeller. Early gyroplanes were powered by engines in a tractor (pulling) configuration and were relatively heavy. Modern gyroplanes use a pusher propeller and are light and maneuverable. With the engine in the rear, the gyroplane has unobstructed visibility. A Gyroplane can fly more slowly than airplanes and will not stall. They can fly as fast as helicopters but cannot hover. Since the rotor blades on the gyroplane are turned only by the air (autorotation), much like a windmill, there is no need for a tail rotor for anti-torque. The gyroplane is a stable flying platform. This is not so with helicopters, which pull the air down through engine-powered rotor blades making it possible to hover, but also making the aircraft very complicated and expensive to fly. Due to their inherent simplicity, gyroplanes are easier to operate and less expensive to maintain than helicopters. Gyroplanes in flight are always in autorotation. If power fails in a gyroplane the autorotation continues, and the aircraft can settle softly to the ground from any altitude. The procedure to land after a power failure is the same procedure as a normal landing, which requires no landing roll. Thus the gyroplane is a safer aircraft for low and slow flight, as compared with both

Industry Analysis
SATS is a navigation system that moves control of air traffic from the ground to the cockpit, using computers and other aids to make the Highway in the Sky, such as those sold by Chelton Flight Systems.

While connected to gyropla ne history, TBALLC is not focusing on the established industry. To report on aircraft makers not going for the same market is not being true to the intent of this plan. Selling to the ultralight aircraft market is not in our plan, but if these sales are requested from sport or ultralight flyers, we will not refuse the business. Growth for the SATS-related aircraft industry is dramatic. Dr. Paul Moller estimates sales to top $1-Trillion. Even if Dr. Moller is overly optimistic , and the real number is one-fourth of that, we still have a huge potential. (www.moller.com)
The Butterfly Aircraft LLC is in an interesting position with use of the FlyDrive Vehicle Patent secured. The existing business aircraft market fills only a small niche in SATS yet the SSCs can have a significant impact on the business aircraft market as SATS comes to maturity. Immediate use of the SSC in business will happen, still timing of this design and SATS couldn't be better. While the market share is nonexistent at this point, no other aircraft is being prepared like TBALLCs products for both SATS and business markets.
Attention to TBALLC is growing also. Oklahoma's Governor Brad Henry was introduced to The Monarch Butterfly at the university in Weatherford Oklahoma in 2003.
Joe Tilton and Richard Sabia introduced Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry to The Monarch Butterfly at Southwestern University .
And it all started with the lowly Butterfly, "The seed to the rain forest". This seed has grown into the Super Sky Cycle flying motorcycle .
Larry demonstrated the Stop and Drop capability of the G Force Landing Gear Tuesday and Sunday in the Showcase at Airventure 2004. (Pictured below) Discovery Wings is installing a lipstick camera and filmed the landings on Sunday.
The Monarch was the only Gyroplane at the 100 year Anniversary of the Wright Brothers Centennial of flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina in December of 2003 and was allowed to circle the monument three times on the anniversary fly by date.
The crowd really enjoyed seeing The Butterfly at the 2003 Extreme Air Show in Oklahoma City.
The Monarch Butterfly was on display in the NASA tent at Sun & Fun 2004 along with a display for Personal Air Vehicles. The Butterfly Aircraft LLCs G Force Landing Gear was featured as a high tech device and displayed under a banner that read Safer By Design.
The Monarch Butterfly flew Stop and Drop demonstrations flights, showing off the new G Force Landing Gear, for the news media and public on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Chopper Town during Sun & Fun 2004. Larry Neal flew the craft in at times with the engine turned off, flared at about 15 high, and then, settled to the ground vertically as the landing gear absorbed over 700/minute vertical descents. One person in the crowd that didnt understand what was going on yelled crash but then was amazed as the gyroplane took off again to repeat the demonstration. The patented G Force Landing Gear is a
technology for gyroplanes. This gear will allow safer landings in case a pilot flares too high or has an engine out close to the ground. This safety feature alone sets the Monarch gyroplane in a whole different class by itself. No other gyroplane that we know of has the capability to drop in from altitude as this one can with this new gear design. This landing gear has changed the safety of Gyroplanes forever.
The flight demonstrations of the Monarch Butterfly were one of the highlights of the 2003 and 2004 SATS Expo held in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Astronaut General Thomas P. Stafford and Dr. Bruce Holmes (the father of SATS) were among the onlookers. When Dr. Holmes first saw the Butterfly lift off he spoke these prophetic words to Joe Tilton: Thats the way we need to go to work.
The new production Super Sky Cycle was on display at Airventure 09. Larry drove the SSC to the Road-able Aircraft Forum on Friday night. It was the only Fly-drive Vehicle that attended the event.
The SSC won 2nd place in the Most Unusual Class at The Rats Hole Custom Bike Show. The SSC was also a hit on main street and was possibly the most photographed single bike at the Sturgis 69th Annual Bike Rally in South Dakota. The Bikers loved the SSC.
