Wer kann sich versichern?
Versichert werden knnen Sprachschler, Studenten, Stipendiaten, Doktoranden, Gastwissenschaftler oder Praktikanten und deren Familienangehrige sowie Teilnehmer an Work- & Holiday-Programmen. Versicherungsfhig sind Personen bis zur Vollendung des 55. Lebensjahres bei Versicherungsbeginn. Die monatliche Prmie wird von Ihrem Konto bei einer Bank in Deutschland abgebucht. Bitte beachten Sie: Der Zahlungseingang beim Versicherer gilt als erfolgt, wenn mit Vertragsabschluss eine Lastschrifteinzugsermchtigung erteilt wird und das angegebene Konto zum Zeitpunkt des Lastschrifteinzugs entsprechende Deckung aufweist.

Wo gilt der Versicherungsschutz?

Der Versicherungsschutz gilt fr versicherte Personen mit Heimatland Deutschland fr den vorbergehenden Aufenthalt auerhalb Deutschlands. Im Rahmen des Tarifs Comfort besteht bei Unterbrechung des Auslandsaufenthalts auch Versicherungsschutz in Deutschland bis zu einer Dauer von 6 Wochen pro Versicherungsjahr; mit Heimatland auerhalb Deutschlands fr den vorbergehenden Aufenthalt in Deutschland, der EU sowie der Schweiz, Liechtenstein, Norwegen und Island. Im Heimatland besteht kein Versicherungsschutz.

Wie lange kann ich mich versichern?

Maximal 48 Monate, unter Anrechnung von gleichartigen Versicherungsvertrgen mit anderen Versicherern jedoch nicht mehr als 60 Monate.

Kann der Versicherungsschutz verlngert werden?

Bei einer Verlngerung des Aufenthaltes kann die ursprnglich vereinbarte Versicherungsdauer verlngert werden. Die Verlngerung muss vor Ablauf des Versicherungsvertrages beantragt werden. Rufen Sie uns dazu einfach an oder teilen Sie uns Ihre Policen-Nummer und die Anzahl der Verlngerungsmonate per Fax, E-Mail oder Brief mit. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, die Versicherung fr die gesamte Dauer Ihres Aufenthalts zu beantragen, da ein spterer Verlngerungsantrag auch abgelehnt werden kann.

Who is eligible for insurance coverage?
Language students, students, scholarship holders, doctoral candidates, guest scientists or trainees and their family members as well as participants of work & holiday programs can apply for insurance coverage. Insurable are persons who are not yet 55 years of age at inception of insurance cover.

Within a few days you will receive your insurance documents by e-mail or if you wish also by post. The monthly premium will then be debited from your account in Germany. Please note: The payment of premiums is deemed to be made, if you agree to the direct debit procedure and the direct debit request to your bank is not denied.

What is the max. duration of insurance cover?

48 months, but taking into consideration any similar insurance contracts with other insurers no longer than 60 months.

Under which circumstances does insurance cover apply?

The insurance cover applies for insured persons with a permanent place of residence in Germany during a temporary stay abroad. Under the Student Comfort tariff insurance cover also applies for Germany for a maximum of 6 weeks per insurance year, if the stay abroad is interrupted. with a permanent place of residence outside Germany during their temporary stay in Germany, the EU as well as in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland. No insurance cover applies for their home country.

Can insurance cover be extended?

In the case of extending the stay, the originally agreed duration of insurance cover can be extended. The extension must be applied for before the insurance contract ends. Contact us by phone or disclose your policy number and the number of months to be extended by fax, e-mail or post. We recommend taking out insurance cover for the total duration of your stay abroad, as a later request for an extension could be denied.

What do I have to do in the case of claim?
In the case of out-patient treatment, your doctor will prepare a bill which you will probably have to pay immediately.
