USER NOTES 1. The process of squeezing should stop when the cement clears the tool and approximately 80% of the cement volume has cleared the squeeze tool to the top of the zone being squeezed. This presumes the final pressure has not been reached in advance of this point. 2. HOWCO recommends the Retrievable Squeeze Tool be set at least a minimum of 10 bbls above zone to be squeezed. If it is decided to trap a volume of water/spacer on the backside of the Squeeze Tool, a negative value for the amount of water/spacer to close the by-pass early must be used. Example, using 20 bbls water ahead with 10 of those bbls trapped on the backside will require a -10 bbls be used to close the by-pass early. 3. The lengths of drill pipe must equal the depth Squeeze Tool set. The Maximum Anticipated Squeeze Pressure is noted as MASP and the friction pressure is not considered for this calculation. Reference, HOWCO and DOWELL SCHLUMBERGER cementing handbooks. 4. A red triangle in the upper right hand corner of a cell signifies a user comment. Mover cursor over cell for viewing.

This application will calculate the Cement and Displacement volumes for a ... 1. Long string job, namely any casing job that extends back to the wellhead sub sea or surface. 2. Liner job regardless of BOP stack location. 3. Stage or DV Tool job using Lead and /or Tail cements. 4. 'Between Strings' can be a column length of cement between the casing being run and previous casing set or the length of liner overlap with cement or the actual length of liner overlap. Some Regulatory Agencies mandate the tail cement extend a minimum of 20% above the setting depth of the DV Tool, i.e., (5,000 x .20) =1,000' of tail cement to extend above the DV Tool. 5.
