NOTIFICATION FOR REGISTRATION IN AUTUMN SEMESTER (2013-14) SESSION In supersession to this office notification No. No.Acd/7257/ Registration/Autumn-2013-14 dated July 3, 2013, it is notified for information to the all Undergraduate, Postgraudate & Ph.D. students (except New Entrants) that the Academic Registration for the Autumn Semester (2013-14) will be held in their respective Teaching Departments as per the following:A. SCHEDULE OF REGISTRATION :Programmes All Undergraduate, Postgraduate & Ph.D. Students (except New Entrants). B. REQUIREMENTS FROM STUDENTS The students are required to present themselves in person for registration and will produce the 3 copies of Academic Registration Card (printout already taken during Pre-Academic Registration) to various authorities as indicated below:1. Institute Copy: To be signed by the concerned HoD or any other faculty member deputed by the HoD. 2. Hostel Copy: In his/her Hostel. 3. Student Copy: Retain himself/herself. NOTE: - The classes for all the programmes will begin from July 18, 2013 (Thursday). C. PAYMENTS Date 17-07-2013 (Wednesday) Time 8.00 a.m. onwards

Students shall be granted only one of the following two mutually exclusive categories of status at the time of registration. The change in status will not be allowed during the semester: (i) Residing & dinning (ii) Non-residing & non-dinning Students shall be required to pay fee in advance as per the details given below together with the outstanding dues if any. Note:nd 1. All 2 year students of B.Tech./B.Arch./IDD/Int.M.Tech./Intg. M.Sc. programmes are required to pay Rs. 1000/- in addition to the above fee on account of Industrial Tour as part of the Institute fee. 2. PD students will be required to pay fee of their main category to which they belongs (i.e. Gen/OBC or SC/ST). D. PROCEDURE FOR PAYMENT OF FEE/ LATE FEE/LATE REGISTRATION FEE:

Fee Mode of Payment (Including late fee) Institute Fee Fees can be paid by any of the following modes: & a. ONLINE BANKING : Mess Fee & By online banking through Internet Banking/Debit-cum-ATM Card/Cash Institute Late fee payment. In case cash option is opted, the online deposit slip has to be & generated first and then the amount will be deposited in the nearby branch of Late Registration the concerned bank immediately. The procedure for operating online banking Fee for our both banks are given at Appendix-I (PNB) & II (SBI). b. Offline- at Students Club: (i) Through Direct Bank A/c Transfer for those who have bank accounts with SBI/PNB at IIT Roorkee Branch. (ii) Through Bank Draft in favour of Registrar IIT Roorkee payable at Roorkee. (iii) By Local /Multicity cheques (but no outstation cheques). If any of the student fails to register upto 25.07.2013 or have not deposited fee by 25.7.2013 (with late fee), the following action will be initiated:1. 2. 3. His/her registration will be terminated. His/her name will be struck-off from the Institute rolls. He/she will be required to vacate the hostel.

Note:-

The students who repeat a particular class whether on medical ground or for any other reason(s) will be required to pay the Institute fees as applicable to the batch of students with whom they are repeating the class.

APPENDIX-I
NOTICE FOR FEE PAYMENT THROUGH PNB PAYFEE PORTAL For collection of fee, the Institute has tied up with Punjab National Bank. The student may deposit their fee through online (Internet banking) as well as offline modes (Fee Challan form) as described below.

PNB is providing this facility to the student of IIT Roorkee without any extra charge.

Select Institute from drop down list IIT Roorkee and collection code IITRK Enter your Enrollment no., and your relevant details will be auto-populated. Validate the same and submit. 4. 5. 6. Click Pay Fee Through PNB IBS (Retail). Pay using your PNB Net banking user id/password. Print payment receipt with a unique Transaction Id. Note down this Transaction ID for further reference for printing duplicate receipt.

Offline at PNB Branches (Through fund collection module) 1. 2. 3. Students may deposit fee (Cash/Cheque) at any PNB branch across India. Visit https://mypnb.in/payfee and click on Print Challan for offline payment Enter your Enrollment no., and your relevant details will be auto-populated. Validate the same and submit. 4. 5. Print out of system generated Challan form with your fee details. Deposit Challan form at your nearest PNB branch and ensure that the collecting branch provides Transaction ID on student copy of the Challan. Carefully recheck it. & press CONFIRM if correct. 11) YOU will be taken to the PAYMENT OPTIONS screen, with Three (3) options : a) Online payment from any SBI account b) SBI ATM-cum-DEBIT CARD c) By CASH at any SBI branch 12) CHOOSE any one of the payment options AND follow the guided payment instructions/steps.
