Welcome to Entrepreneurship and Innovation Course!

Course Description
This course is designed to discuss the basic concepts of entrepreneurship and business development processes, which covers idea generation, business plan development, its execution, and evaluation. This course also provides students an opportunity to get experience in starting and managing a new venture.

Course Objectives
To provide a broader understanding of the entrepreneur/entrepreneurship and the process of creating and growing a new business from both theoretical and practical sides To provide an opportunity to have a practical experience in creating and managing a new venture To motivate students to be young and successful entrepreneurs

Learning Outcomes
Students are able to identify and describe concepts of entrepreneurs/entrepreneurship [DESCRIBE] Students are able to apply various concepts of management in a real business [APPLY] Students demonstrate their abilities to generate creative business ideas before starting a new venture [Innovative capability] Students shows their abilities to deal with various problems faced during the business process [Innovative capability] Students are able to communicate and present their (business) ideas (i.e. oral and written) to others [Communication skills] Students are able to collaborate with others (i.e. peer and parties e.g. suppliers, customers, government, etc.) to ensure their new businesses grow and succeed.

Prerequisite Conditions
Students have taken the following courses: Introduction to Business Fundamentals of Financial Management Fundamentals of Marketing Management Fundamentals of Operations Management Fundamentals of Human Resource Management Business Feasibility

Students Responsibilities
Obey the Faculty Code of Conduct and Academic SOP. Respect others by not using cellular-phone or personal laptop/any other electronic devices for nonclass related activities. Give notification by sms/phonecall to the instructor prior to late attendance. All students are expected to share insights and experiences relating to the class material.

Bi-weekly Control Sheet


Each group should submit a bi-weekly control sheet (WCS) that shows the groups activities, outputs, problems that may occurred during a week, and solutions that have been taken. Pictures of activities may be added to the sheet. Bi-weekly control sheet (softcopy) should be sent to the instructors email (virgosita@gmail.com, cc to dilamaghrifani@gmail.com) prior to the meeting.

Content: business result (monetary), business obstacles, analysis, lessons learned, reason of any changes during the business implementation (if any), document completeness (invoices, financial report, promotion materials, etc) Style of writing and its sequence Document packaging
