Can the user comfortably reach all the equipment and papers they need to use? Are surfaces free from glare and reflections?

Does the user know how to adjust the settings of the screen? Are the characters clear and readable? Is the height of the screen adjusted so that the top of the monitor is roughly in line with the eyeline with the neck in a neutral position and the user sat back in the chair? Is the text size comfortable to read and is the image free of flicker and jitter?

SECTION 3 - DISPLAY SCREENS


Is the screen's specification suitable for its intended use? Are the brightness and/or contrast adjustable? Does the screen swivel and tilt? (Note that swivel was a requirement for VDUs not the flat screens) Is the screen free from glare and reflections? Are adjustable window coverings provided and in adequate condition? Is the keyboard separate from the screen? Does the keyboard tilt? Is it possible to find a comfortable keying position? Does the user have good keyboard technique? Are the characters on the keys easily readable?
