2013 2014 Program Registration Registration for Religious Education classes is now being accepted. Children who are in grades 1 through 8 and attending non-Catholic schools, whose families are Registered Parishioners, are encouraged to register for the classes. Registration forms are available through the parish office. The program is largely volunteerrun, therefore parents are expected to assist in some way.

Evangelization Event 2013 Pilgrimage Canadian Martyrs Shrine, Midland ON August 24th 9:30 am 3:30 pm During this Year of Faith, the Shrine has been designated by His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins as a sacred place for obtaining the plenary indulgence, applicable to the faithful according to the usual conditions: confession, communion, pray for the intention of the Holy Father, profession of faith (Creed). Restore, Renew, Rejoice! Update

Thank you to all parishioners who visited the parish hall after last weekends Masses to review the proposed drawings in greater detail and to speak to committee members. Your questions and comments are a vital part of the process. The four drawings can be viewed on the parish website or you can request copies from the parish office. We continue to welcome your feedback. Have we addressed your concerns with the changes we have presented? You can provide your comments through the parish website (www.sorrows.ca), by email (dolores@sorrows.ca) or phone (416-231-6016 x 29). No significant change to the original project costing is expected with this revision. Following final approval of the design, detailed construction drawings will need to be created and the project put out to tender, before final costing is determined. Updated costing, including a final goal for the Archdiocesan Campaign will be available before the Capital Campaign begins. During the past few years, as the parish committees have worked diligently to prepare for this project, there have been a number of parishioners who have indicated that they would like more information regarding specific aspects of the Fire & Life Safety renovations. Please provide your contact information through the options listed above, if you would like to be contacted and indicate specific areas of the project you would like more information about.

ShareLife Parish Campaign Update

We are 89% of the way towards our parish goal of $379,000 for the 2013 ShareLife campaign. The 2013 campaign closes on July 31st. (Donations continue to be accepted all year round.) If you havent had the opportunity to donate or feel you can increase your donation, now is the time to act. Dont forget, increased donations over last years amounts and donations from first time donors' will be matched by a generous Archdiocesan donor! As a first time donor, small monthly donations or a small single donation WILL make a difference. These ShareLife funds benefit many people and are greatly appreciated! Teopoli Summer Experience: (TSE) 2013

Summer is just around the corner and the TSE returns at the Teopoli Catholic Spiritual Centre in Muskoka! The TSE is a 10-day residential program that is offered for children and youth ages 6 17, with 4 terms to choose from. Children are engaged in social, spiritual, and physical activities that involve the excitement of a camp environment as well as providing the best kind of formation for a positive self-esteem, a good character, a love for the family, and the knowledge and practice of the Catholic faith throughout life.
