Ive made this design several times since creating it for a dear friends baby, and I never tire of it. Improvisational piecing makes each incarnation different and engaging, but the rules of construction and fabric selection remain the same. This is a perfect project for practicing freehand rotary cutting and a go-withthe-flow approach to piecing. Collect a variety of fabric scraps in warm colors (reds, oranges, yellows, warm pinks, and browns) and cool colors (greens, blues, purples) for this quilt.
