What do an American folksong, a black and white photograph, a comic play, and a haiku poem have
in common? They’re all different mediums artists use to tell a story! Bring your imagination to share
and come explore the arts and the power of storytelling this summer with Bonnie J. Ross and
friends!
Artfull Wednesdays: Storytelling through the Arts! for ages 7-12, will take place on Wednesdays
July 3 to July 31 from 1pm to 3pm in the Beacon Feed Studio. Scheduled topics 7/3 “Worlds of
Words” (Literary arts); 7/10 “Once upon a Song” (Musical arts); 7/17 “Picture this!” (Visual arts);
7/24 “Dance Your Story” (Movement arts); 7/31 “Once upon a Story” (Theater arts). Final
performance/exhibition is Sunday, August 11 from 11am-1pm. Cost of attendance is $55/$50 for
members/$12 for single class drop-in.
Bonnie J. Ross has designed and taught summer music workshops at both Hubbard Hall and the
Greenwich Free Library since 2010. Bonnie played the violin and cello for 5 years in the Green
Mountain Youth Orchestra. In addition, she is an aspiring photographer and a freelance arts journalist.
