MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Romulus Public Library is to provide a wide variety of materials and services to patrons of all ages. We strive to maintain a balanced collection of materials for informational, educational, and recreational needs. The library serves as a place for all to discover the joy of reading and the value of libraries.

Library Card Use Just a reminder that the Library requires all patrons to present their library card for service. Using your library card allows staff to provide faster service, eliminates the possibility of items being checked out to the wrong patron, helps children learn responsibility for their card and shortens patron wait time. Make your Library experience easier and faster with your library card.

More classes coming this fall! All classes free of charge. Register by calling the library at 734-942-7589. Basic computer skills are required for all classes, except Internet/Email and Word. Please note that we often have wait lists for computer classes. If you are unable to attend, please call the library as soon as possible to let us know so that someone else can attend the class in your place.

Summer is finally upon us and the Library has a lot to offer for summer reading fun. Kids and teens are encouraged to sign up for the 2013 Summer Reading Program, Dig into Reading beginning June 10. This year, we are excited to offer weekly programs with storytellers, animals, crafts, a magic show and a day at the pool. Adults can attend the Second Monday Book Club, the Knit, Crochet, Etc. group, a workshop for gardeners or one of our free computer classes. Families can go online and use their library card to check out a Michigan Activity Pass for free or discounted admission to over 60 statewide attractions. Come to the library and check out a book, an audio book or a DVD or use your library card to download an e-book. You can also use your library card to use a computer or bring your laptop and use our free WiFi. For your convenience, the library will remain open six days a week throughout the summer and all year round. See you there! Patty Braden
