PAY SCALES : For Sl. No. 1 & 2 : PB-3, Rs. 15,600 39,100/- with Grade Pay Rs.5,400. For Sl. No. 3 : PB-2, Rs. 9,300 34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,600. For Sl. No. 4 : PB-2, Rs. 9,300 34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,200. AGE DETAILS (Relaxable on the recommendation of the selection committee) : Ordinarily below For Sl. No. 1 & 2 Ordinarily below For Sl. Essential qualification for Post Sl. No. 1 : 1. Post-Graduate Degree with at least 55% marks in Bengali/English/Comparative Literature from a recognized University. 2. Good knowledge of Bengali and English Language. 3. Basic knowledge of computer application. Desirable qualification for Post Sl. No. 1 : 1. Doctoral Degree in Literature/Experience in research. 2. Should be a person of proven literary ability. 3. Fairly good knowledge of Tagore Literature. 4. Considerable knowledge of book production and good contacts with the literary community Minimum Experience : Five years experience in editorial work. Essential qualification for Post Sl. No. 2 : 1. Post-Graduate Degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized University or equivalent professional qualification. 2. Diploma in Sales Management from AICTE recognized Institute. 3. Proven basic knowledge of computer application.

Desirable qualification for Post Sl. No. 2 : 1. General knowledge of Tagore Literature. 2. Good knowledge of English. Minimum Experience : 1. Five years experience in sales management in a reputed publishing house and related book publishing. Desirable experience : 1. Experience in organizing book exhibitions and contacts with the book sellers, distributors and book selling agencies. Above experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Appointing Authority in case of candidates with excellent service record in the field.

Essential qualification for Post Sl. No. 3 : 1. Graduation from UGC recognized University. 2. Proficiency in type writing at a speed not less than 50 w.p.m. 3. Basic knowledge of computer application. Desirable qualification for Post Sl. No. 3 : 1. General knowledge of office rules and procedure. 2. Independent ability to prepare agenda and minutes of meeting, reports, type out letters etc. in English with a very good speed in Computer Typing. 3. Good knowledge of computer application. Minimum Experience : At least 2(two) years experience preferably in Govt. Organization.

Essential qualification for Post Sl. No. 4 : 1. Hons Graduate in Bengali with English as a subject in degree level or Hons Graduate in English with Bengali as a subject in degree level. 2. Basic knowledge of computer application. Desirable qualification for Post Sl. No. 4 : Good knowledge of Tagore Literature. Minimum Experience : Minimum 2(two) years experience in related field in a publishing house or literary organization.

A. General Conditions for these Recruitments:

1. Visva-Bharati reserves the right not to fill up the vacancy if circumstances so warrant. Selection for the posts may not be confined only to candidates who apply formally. 2. Essential qualifications prescribed are the minimum and mere possession of them will not entitle applicants to be called in for interview. If the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large and it is not convenient for the University to interview all the applicants, the number of candidates for interview may be restricted to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience. 3. Qualification and experience may be relaxed at the discretion of the University. Relaxation in age and percentage of marks will be allowed, as per rules/orders. 4. Candidates already in employment shall apply through proper channel (or submit formal No Objection Certificate during interview, if called for), and also submit release order at the time of joining Visva-Bharatis service, if appointed. They may however send an advance copy of the application. 5. Counting of past service will not be allowed if applications are not received through proper channel. 6. Selection/appointment/employment will be subject to fulfilment of required qualification, experience etc as also to verification of testimonials, antecedents and past service. If it is found at any stage that any information has been suppressed or wrongly/falsely provided or any fraud has been committed, the application/appointment/employment of the concerned applicant will be rejected/cancelled/terminated summarily. 7. Applicants selected for appointment may be required to go through police verification before or after joining. 8. Note: IPO/M O / e-transfer/ CRFS/ postage stamp/ revenue stamp etc will not be accepted.

C. Application fee (non refundable)

01. For posts with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 : Rs. 400/02. For posts with Grade Pay below of Rs. 5400/- : Rs. 300/SC/ST candidates shall pay only 25% of the above application free. Physically handicapped candidates (handicapped 40% or above) are exempted from paying fee. Attested copy of certificate issued by appropriate authority is to be submitted for such concession/exemption. D. Submission of forms, last date & other information: 1. Duly filled-in original application form (ii) 12(twelve) photo copies of filled-in form, (iii) one set of attested photo-copies of mark-sheets, certificates & other testimonials, (iv) two recent passport size photographs* with applicants full signature at the bottom), (v) Demand Draft of required value towards application fee ( in case form is downloaded from website), shall be sent to Registrars Office, Visva-Bharati, P.O.-Santiniketan, Pin- 731235 (W.B). *Non- returnable. 2.
