3. O peration instructions
Start reader:It will begin selftesting function when pow er is switche d on.Its operation procedure s are a s follo w:

Note:Card must not exceed the read range (refer to different m odels) to gain induction. a).OK (green) light is on to indicate registered card to gain access. b).DENY (yellow) light is on and consecutive beeping sound is on to indicate unregistered card or used under unauthorized time zone. (Please refer to troubleshooting if neither of above statuses occurred) Mode inquiry:Press , LCD will display:

Antiduress:When under duress, usermay press button before keying in password to activate alarm.(Duress code presetting is , it can be changed by user) Example : antiduress code is , password is , then to activate antiduress alarm, the user should key in . Setup Mode:
User must get into setting mode first before changing any system functions. User must key in system password for system function selection. System passwordis being set initially by manufacturer. (Example: User can get into the set up mode by keying ).
4. Q uick setup: User will get into the setup mode as the right diagram shown for any settin g to be made. (A) Add new card , key in then key in .

Function (02) D elete card: Deletion of user's card (such as loss of card or to prevent specific user to gain access) can be achieved by keying 8digit card number indicated on the proximity card.

Function (05) D oor open mode: R eader has 2 types of identification modes. (presetting figure is 002) M ode (2).Card proximity door opening : The door w ill be opened , when the card is sensed. M ode (3).Door open by proximity card and password: The door will be opened by keying additional 4digit password after sensing the registered card.

Function (17) Auto Record range: This is to set under what kind of status to save by stand alone operation. (presetting figure is 003). There are 4 kinds of sta tus to choose: A. Detect point / output action. C. Single reader operation status. Example: If A and B statuses are chosen, the setting figure fo r auto record range is 3 (1+2) If A, B, and D statuses are chosen, the setting figure for auto record range is 11 (1+2+8)

Note: (1) Door open relay electrical rating is 2A/24 VDC. (2) Push button door open / door sensing / antitheft sensing all are connection terminal. Any other power supplying is not allowed. (3) In ord er to avoid a ny disturbance of read range, user is a dvised to use two separate adaptors. (4) Related position of reader connector: Please refer to Appendix A.

8. ATTENTIONS
1. Confirm the power supply volta ge and polarly befo re ins tallatio n to prevent any wrong conne ction that ca useda mage to the reader. 2. Use separate pow er sup ply to the electric lo ck and the p roximity read er. 3. Do no t insta ll the r eader nearly any metal eq uimen ts or d etecto r area to pre vent interfe rence of rea d dista nce. 4. Do no t try to fix or modify the re ader without autho rized e lectrician.The reader is guara nteed for one year.
9. T ROUBLESH OOTING
1. Reader has no rea ction o r door does not open with proximity card. Solutio n: (1) Please check if the POW ER ligh t(red)is on.If not,p lease check the po wer supply to run the reader o n. (2) Pleas e check if the proximity ca rd is d efected.Use r may use an other proximity card to test. (3) Pleas e check if pe rsonal password is entere d incorrectly or the user is still in the setup mo de. (4) Continuous proximity.Ple ase re move the ca rd from the reader and try again. (5) Check if the DENY light(y ellow ) is on and continuo us beep sou nd occur. Th is indica tes the user' s proximity card is not reg istered yet. (6) Pleas e check if OK Light(green) is on and d oorop ening sound can b e heard at the s ame time.If door is still not opened,p lease ensure that if the wiring or

powe r supp ly of e lectric lock is installed pro perly or bro ken. 2. Syste m password is ente red bu t user canno t enter into v arious function selection of the setting mode.
