GENERAL INFORMATION
Ergonomics is the science of adjusting technology to human beings in order to make work easier. In the design of KNIPEX pliers, ergonomic criteria are given particular attention - but three main elements exist which separate KNIPEX from the rest:
1) Reduction of Effort: self-gripping jaws and other high leverage designs help reduce user effort. 2) Relaxed Wrist Position: ratchet action and a wide variety of plier head shapes and sizes help keep wrist in a neutral position, increasing user comfort. 3) Hand-Optimized Handle Design: two component handles are both hard and soft, while maintaining a wider contact surface for greater user control.

Safety Tips and Warnings

1) EYE PROTECTION: Safety glasses should always be worn, particularly when using striking, cutting or power tools, or when working in potentially hazardous environments around electricity, chemicals, gases or flammable liquids. 2) CORRECT TOOL SELECTION: Use the proper tool and size for the work being done. Use only specially designated pliers for cutting hardened wire. Cut only at right angles, and never use a side to side rocking motion. 3) HANDLE INSULATION PROPERTIES: Both our regular plastic dip handles and the two component KNIPEX COMFORT series are for comfort only, and must never be used on live circuits. 4) INSULATED (1000V) PLIERS: Live electrical circuits should always be switched off before performing any work. Insulated tools are designed primarily to provide protection against accidental contact and shorting out components. REPLACE TOOLS IF INSULATION BECOMES DAMAGED. 5) WARRANTY: All KNIPEX tools are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship. At their option, Sales Agents, Distributors or the Manufacturer will replace, repair or refund the purchase price of any product which fails to comply with this warranty subject to proper application & lack of abuse.
