The health, physical fitness, and improved quality of life is very important for the well being of
the seniors in our state. The 8th Annual St. Tammany Senior Olympic Games aims to promote
the seniors during the games on April 21 – June 6, 2009 throughout St. Tammany Parish. We
invite you to become a sponsor for the Games and help support our seniors.

Here are some interesting facts about our seniors and community:
• St. Tammany Parish has a population of over 70,000 seniors and growing.
• The senior population is the fastest growing consumer group in the country.
• The games offer socialization, individual and team accomplishment, and lots of fun.

Sponsoring the senior games is an excellent way to reach the senior market and have your name
associated with encouraging and supporting active, healthy lifestyles for senior citizens. Your
contribution is tax deductible, and sponsors also receive numerous other benefits as described in
the enclosed sponsorship form. If you choose not to become a sponsor, please consider donating
“goody” items for our goody bags. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Sponsor has the opportunity to:
• Lead the Pledge of Allegiance and speak at your choice of any games
• Attend Golf Luncheon and draw for door prizes
• Conduct the ceremonial coin toss for three games
• Distribute awards at your choice of four games
• Conduct the ceremonial pistol start at Track and Field races
• Right of first refusal for sponsorship in year 2010
