Creating a New Document

Close the current document by selecting File|Close

Click the Close icon on the right side of the title bar.

Open an Existing Document


Click the Open File button on the standard tool bar

Choose File |Open from the menu bar Press CTRL+O Each method will show the Open dialog box. Choose the file and click the Open button.

Editing
Moving (Cutting) and Pasting Text
Highlight the text Select Edit|Cut from the menu bar Click the Cut button on the standard tool bar Press CTRL+X at once. Move the cursor to the location you want Select Edit| Paste from the menu bar Click the Paste button on the standard toolbar Press CTRL+V.
