More Than Just a Conference.
PLM World as an independent Users Group is a great
vehicle to collaborate amongst your peers throughout
the year. You can participate in the SIGs/Technical
committee by posting questions/answers on the PLM
World forums, participate in Technical committee
phone calls, and read/write articles for our quarterly
newsletter. As a PLM World member, you should take
advantage of the Customer Involvement Process (CIP),
submitting enhancement requests to the PLM World
website, and voting on the Enhancements during the
voting process. The more involved you become in PLM
World, the more successful the community will be.
Become involved today, by talking to any of the PLM
World board members or SIG leaders.

PLM University
An exciting new upgrade to the 2013 conference is the PLM University portion of the
Management SIG. We have grown last years offering by merging the very popular
roundtable sessions to create Panel Discussions.
The panels will be made up of industry partners that have real, implemented solutions
relevant to the panel topic. So using our favorite Covey-ism - we feel this is a win-win
situation for our users and our partners.
Below is the schedule for the PLM University portion of the Management SIG. The
remainder of the week we will have traditional presentations from other management
users.
Monday, 11:00 - 6:00 pm
- PLM 101: Basic review of Siemens PLM Systems and capabilities.
- Design for Sustainability: Leveraging PLM systems to yield sustainable
products. There are numerous regulatory and compliance standards which a
product may be required to meet.
- Robust Design: Leveraging a companys PLM system to design robust
products. Satisfying requirements is not enough to claim victory.
Tuesday, 9:30 - 11:40 am
- Business Intelligence-harnessing PLM Data: Now that we have all
of this data.how do we put it to work??
