Introduction
Greetings! This is Fleet Command of the Hiigaran Empire speaking. Our Alliance represents the power and the force of the Hiigaran Empire in the Hiigaran Galaxy. The Hiigaran Empire is only one of many Empires there. As all major powers are, our Empire is overseen by the Galactic Council as well. After thousands of years of never-ending war within our galaxy, a new age of exploration and discovery began. Amongst our discoveries, the planet we are currently operating on was found. We were not aware of the significance of this discovery. However, as we are now one of the major forces on the surface of this planet ourselves, we are dedicated to help this planet and its local inhabitants to survive. Our intention is to unite this world in peace and freedom and to let it participate in the Galactic Council. Unfortunately, the same Council forbids us to use our superior technology or external forces to gain domination over this world. The only means of technology we are allowed to use is the level of technology that is being used by the races on the planet. Nevertheless. Our power doesn't originate from our technology, but from our determination.

The beginning
It is now 6 months ago, when our Command Ship, the KUUN-LAN, was launched from our Homeworld Hiigara for a Mining Operation on a planet which is called "Earth". The reason for this operation was the reconnaissance data received from a probe dispatched into the outer Rim of this Galaxy. It showed a planet which carried a strange resource. This resource caused the scanning systems of the probe to be alerted. It was clear that there was something on this planet that was anything but normal. The probe entered the atmosphere and took a sample of this resource. It was in the shape of a crystal, which made it easy to collect. Our scientists analyzed it and noticed that it emits a strong radiation which is highly poisonous for any living being. Furthermore, they recognized that it is some kind of life form - like a plant. But there was one thing that made it very interesting for the ruling Kiith - and for the entire Hiigaran Galaxy. It carries huge amounts of energy. Furthermore, as it is a life form, it can grow non-stop, making it to a very powerful energy source that never runs dry. Instantly, the discovery of that planet was known at any corner of the Galaxy. Everyone knew about that incredibly valuable resource and about its danger. The dominating forces, the Vaygr Reaches, the Taiidan Empire, the Turanic Kingdoms, the Ossyrian Alliance as well as all members of the Galactic Council claimed this resource as their own, knowing what huge advantage it could bring to them against all other factions. Thus, the Galactic Council had to create a plan for how this situation is to be resolved. They knew, if they grant the claim to any faction, this would cause a large scale war between them. To prevent this, the Council decided to let the Hiigaran Empire start a Mining Operation on that planet. The conditions for this were the absence of any major military force, including all kinds of warships from fighters to dreadnoughts. There must not be any warship within the safety perimeter of Earth. The Kiith Somtaaw, better known as "Beast Slayers", was ordered to enforce this operation and to make sure that the conditions are being preserved.

The Situation on this world

As Fleet Command, I have to make sure that there are not any violations against the terms of this Operation.

My objective is to enforce the will of the Galactic Council via the Hiigaran Empire on that planet and to take control of it with the means of technology the indigenous population possesses. Superior Img. 2: The KUUN-LAN technology must not be used.
On 30. 12. 2011 local calendar / 9631 GSY (Galactic Standard Year), the KUUN-LAN arrived in the orbit of Earth and a pod was launched to construct a base, similar to those numerous bases all around this world. Immediately our Empire was established with its history and its intentions.

We know about the strange situation this world is in. We know that it is a dying world, being transformed into a planet which solely consists out of that resource. It changes the evolution, making everything based on it, toxic to every being, especially the humans who live there.
But we also know that they indigenous population is full of conflict, mainly between the "Global Defense Initiative" and the "Brotherhood of Nod". From what we know, the GDI tries to stop the contamination while the Brotherhood of Nod tries to achieve the opposite - that it spreads even further. Their exact intentions are unknown to us, though. All we know about them originates from thirdparty sources, which are not very reliable. The humans on the planet are calling this resource "Tiberium", after the location where it was found the first time, about 80 years ago. This location is by now heavily infested with Tiberium and absolutely lethal to any life form. Our arrival was not noticed. And it should remain for that ... at least for some time. The GDI satellites in the orbit of Earth could not detect the cloaked Command Ship. As we are using their technology and design, we remained undiscovered until now.

They are not aware of our presence not yet.

But this can change at any time.

Our Goals
As this conflict is against any of our plans, we try to stop it in the name of peace and freedom, making this planet to a member of the Galactic Council to let it participate from all advantages. And to stop the infestation the Tiberium causes. And, of course, to make use of this resource for ourselves and the Galactic Council.

Our Situation
During the long time we already are on this planet, we went through unspeakable hardships and dangerous encounters. The Galactic Council wanted to abort the operation several times, mostly because of unpleasant encounters with the indigenous population. But until now, we were able to hold ourselves and to grow constantly. We even had to divide into a second Alliance, called the Taiidan Republic. It is now being led by the former leaders of the Hiigaran Empire. Currently we have 77 active members both in our Empire and our Republic.

Our Command Structure

All decisions are made by the Fleet Command of both the Empire and Republic. But nothing is enforced without requesting the opinion of the leaders and members of the Inner Circle.

Our Politics
As we are a peaceful Empire that seeks no conflict, we are trying to avoid PvP. However, we encourage fair PvP between alliances to make the game interesting. Everyone shall have what he wants. Because of this, we are trying to establish a Coalition on CB 1, to ensure fair PvP rather than total war against other huge Empires.

Also, the purpose of this Coalition is to make sure that there is no external threat that can resist the control of this Coalition. Rather several equals than one superior force.

Our Philosophy
Megalomania was the reason for the downfall of our ancient Empire. It could as well be the downfall of the currently ruling Empire. To prevent this from happening, we are taking care that, no matter how strong we are, we are acting always reasonable and cautious. Also, we stick to the following doctrines: "Help and you will be helped. Give and you will be given. Take and you will be taken." "Every one of us is nothing but a gravel of sand in an endless desert. But the desert could not exist without its gravels."

Our Means of Communication

We are using the ingame messaging system and forums as well as our Inner Circle on Skype. This allows us to coordinate our moves and actions very efficiently.

What we are in need of

We are desperately in need of further Supply Modules, to be able to store our units which are not needed in battle. Also, we need a proper navigation system, so that we can oversee the overall situation. The current map is more of a substitute for a real one. We have thus to relay on our Sensor Arrays, which are not that accurate.

Furthermore: The lack of proper weapon systems is a bit annoying and slows down our progress. We are waiting for clearance to use the weapon systems aboard our Command Ship, such as the heavy Ion Cannon.

Our Vision
We want that the strong center of this world will be shared between several strong alliances, which let minor clans grow as strong as they are, making PvP possible as a match between even alliances.

This PvP Combat shall be just and without any unfair advantages. And they shall only last as long as one side surrenders. No further violence than needed!

Our Relationships
For our peaceful habit, we have made many friends yet also some enemies. Every alliance is welcome to be our allies, given that it is active. Inactive alliances will be removed. Enemies are only those who not conform to our ways of thinking and acting - respectively those who make unreasonable attacks and assaults on weaker players.

Our Contacts
We are present on all CBs. Except for CB 2 we are of considerable strength and power. On CB 1, we have that much followers, that we were forced to create a second Alliance for our Empire: The Taiidan Republic. On CB 2, we have lost a lot of progress due to a war with a way superior enemy. We had to retreat and to reorganize ourselves. Slowly but steadily, we are growing again. The First Time
In the First Time, the Great Hyperspace Core was found. It made interstellar travel possible all amongst the Hiigaran Galaxy. The Bentusi made use of it, uniting the galaxy in peace and freedom.

At the same time, the Second Core was found by one of the dominating forces, the ancient Hiigaran Empire. This force faced an arch enemy, the Taiidan Empire, which was as strong as the Hiigarans. But the discovery of the Second Core made them superior against the Taiidan.

With a large fleet, they attacked Taiid, the Homeworld of the Taiidan, resulting in a one-day lasting holocaust. This caused the defeat of the Taiidan Empire, due to the destruction of all military structures. The Bentusi, a people of travelers and traders, watched this conflict with grieve. They knew that the Hiigaran Empire would from now on be the biggest threat for every other state in the galaxy. As the Galactic Council did. They told the Hiigarans to relinquish their Hyperspace Core to the Council. However, they denied and told that they would hand over their core only to the Bentusi themselves. The Council agreed to this proposal. When the Bentusi came to claim the Core, the Hiigaran Empire started an attack on them, trying to gain the First Core as well. But their attack failed. Bentusi. The entire Hiigaran fleet was destroyed. Only the Flagship survived, carrying the Second Core with it. It was severely damaged, though. The engines didn't work anymore. But instead of surrendering, the Captain decided to crash it into the Angel Moon, the only natural satellite of Hiigara. The Core was presumed to be destroyed and lost.

The weakened Taiidan heard word about what happened, and gathered their entire remaining fleet to make a counterstrike. The Hiigarans, who lost their entire fleet, could not resist them. They had to surrender. But the wrath of the Taiidan came without any mercy. No one was spared. The Hiigarans were slaughtered, and their entire race was about to be exterminated. The Galactic Council could understand their wrath, but what the Hiigarans did to the Taiidan was not as cruel as what the Taiidan did to the Hiigarans in exchange. Thus, they demanded the Taiidan to stop their genocide on the Hiigarans. The Taiidan denied. They were ready for a compromise, though. They demanded that the Hiigarans shall be exiled from their Homeworld. That they will be marked as the Kushan, the Outcasts. Nobody was allowed to aid them in any way.

A barren world was chosen to become their new Home. On hundreds of bad equipped containerships they were sent into exile. To a desert world called "Kharak".

The First Homeworld War

2.000 years passed since the Kushan arrived on Kharak. They had to reestablish their civilization from scratch. It took thousands of years until they could reach the stage of the technology they had when arriving there.

Civil wars and catastrophes were dividing the Kiith into several Clans, each one fighting for power and domination.

But then they discovered the wreck of the KharToba, the First City. On board, they found a stone. On this stone, a map of the galaxy was inscribed as well as one word, older than the oldest clans: Hiigara - Home.

Aside of the stone which was called the "Guidestone", the Second Hyperspace Core was found in the derelict of the container-ship. The Kiith decided to concentrate all their strength and power to build a massive colony ship, which purpose was to discover the true origin of their people.

They built a large Colony Ship. However, there was a problem regarding the commanding systems. To command an entire fleet, the computer systems of the Mothership were way too inefficient. Thus, a young scientist lady volunteered to act as Fleet Command, to let herself being integrated into the ships systems. Her name was Karan S'jet. With this, she became Fleet Command.

During the first Hyperjump test they have encountered a hostile race, the Turanic Raiders. They wanted to retreat to Kharak to warn their kind of the threat that resides out there. But when they returned, they found Kharak burning. Nobody survived. Nobody was left. The Scaffold, where the Mothership was built, was destroyed - as well as all orbital facilities. The Cryo Trays with the last remaining people from the Kushan were under attack. They were under fire by Imperial Taiidani frigates.

All of the Cryo Trays could be saved and the enemy destroyed. One of the frigates was captured and the crew interrogated. They violated a law that forbids them ever to use Hyperspace technology. The consequence for this was the destruction of Kharak. From there on, there was no return anymore. Their suspected Homeworld destroyed, they had to make their way to their true origin, Hiigara.

Assisted by the Bentusi, they were able to build up a large fleet, to fight the Taiidan and their servants, the Turanic Raiders. And eventually they succeeded with the help of those who turned against the Taiidan Empire, which became decadent and corrupted in the decades. Thanks to Captain Elson and the Republican Taiidan, who supported the Kushan to reclaim their Homeworld, they managed to destroy the Emperor's Flagship and to end the Taiidan tyranny.

The Beast Wars

After the war for Homeworld was over, the entire galaxy was left in turmoil by the fall of the Taiidan Empire and the following civil wars. Still, forces loyal to the fallen Emperor were waiting for the chance to strike back. While the Imperial Taiidan was fighting for their first Homeworld war survival, the Kushan established them on Hiigara. They built new cities and removed the damage done by the final battle for their Homeworld. The Daiamid, the Hiigaran Council, was rebuilt. The Council decided about the future of Hiigara. But even amongst equals, there was power struggle. The Council hold all the technology for themselves. Kiith with little or no influence had to acquire technology from the Bentusi or other races. Such a Kiith was the Kiith Somtaaw, who was known as mere miners. They were used (or better, abused) for resource operations for various bigger Kiith, such as the Nabaal, S'jet or Manaan. During a routine mining operation, one of the mining ships of the Somtaaw, the KUUN-LAN, received an emergency call.

Hiigara was under attack by the Imperialist Taiidani. They tried to break through the Hiigaran defenses and raid Hiigara. Immediately, the KUUNLAN was called back for the defense of Hiigara. There, it helped the other Kiith to defeat the attacking forces. However, the acknowledgment for them was very ... limited.

During a salvaging operation, they found a wreck of unknown age and origin. It was found out that it was a message pod that was millions of years old and superior to any technology they have ever encountered. Instead of asking the other Kiith for help, the Somtaaw researched this wreck on their own ... and set something loose. Img. 18: The unknown wreck

A bio-mechanic virus was aboard on that message pod. It subverted the crew of the research module of the KUUN-LAN which resulted in the emergency-jettison of the lower decks. This way the rest of the KUUN-LAN could be saved. The research module was infected and all people aboard it fell victim to that unknown virus.

When trying to find out what happened on the research module, the virus went active and infected the investigating ships. They turned against the Somtaaw and attacked the KUUN-LAN. Once a major fleet of the Turanic Raiders was infected as well, they had to flee. Trying to understand what happened, they wanted to consult the Bentusi. However, even they were not able to withstand the infection of that creature which was codenamed "The Beast". Thus, the KUUN-LAN herself had to find a way how to stop the infection. They found out about the origin of the Beast - a research vessel of unknown origin, the NAGGAROK, was subverted by it millions of years ago. The crew recognized the threat outgoing from that being and scuttled Img. 20: The NAGGAROK - the origin of the Beast the engines to trap it aboard their own ship. But their sacrifice was undermined by their own technology skills - when they disabled the engines, an emergency pod was launched. And that pod contained a tiny portion of the Beast... With the help of the other Kiith as well as the Republican Taiidan and the Bentusi, they managed to destroy the research module which was turned into a Mothership of the Beast as well as the NAGGAROK herself - but with grieve losses on all sides. The fact that the Taiidan Empire supported the Beast made the fight desperately and without any mercy. Still, the Somtaaw were victorious and the Beast was defeated for good, for having found a way to render their vessels immune against the infection.

Because of that, the Kiith Somtaaw became a major power in the Inner Circle of the Daiamid. And from that day to this, Somtaaw's children have been known to one and all as "Beast Slayers".

The Second Homeworld War

80 years passed by, and Hiigara remained in safety, representing the main power of the Galaxy, amongst with the Taiidan Republic and the Turanic Kingdoms. However, suddenly word has reached the Hiigarans that the Third Core has been found in the Eastern Rim of the Galaxy, in the Hethlim icefields. The dominating force there, the Vaygr, nomad people who travel aboard their large ships assembled together by technology of various races, rose up under the influence of the Third Core.

The Vaygr warrior lord named "Makaan" united the Vaygr under his control, creating the Armada de Makaan. With this huge force, he began an invasion on the Hiigaran Empire and all other colonies amongst the East of the Galaxy, trying to get the Second Core of the Hiigarans and to fulfill the prophecy of The Three:

"He, who unites The Three, unleashes the Great Maker

Sajuuk." Sajuuk is known as He Whose Hands Shape What Is, as the maker of all things. But few people know about the true nature of this prophecy - Sajuuk is neither God nor Myth. He is real. And Makaan knew about this. He tried to gain all three Cores to claim the power of The Three for himself - to become the Sajuuk Khar, Chosen One and Custodian of The Three. To prevent this from happening, the Hiigarans created a large Mothership, the PRIDE OF HIIGARA. While the original Mothership remained in the low orbit over Hiigara, the PRIDE OF HIIGARA was dispatched to escape the invasion and to end the siege of Hiigara once they succeeded to awake Sajuuk.

But for this, they had first to find the Key to Sajuuk. That Key was the Gatekeeper of Sajuuk, a large Dreadnought built by the Progenitors long, long ago. Sajuuk was a Progenitor himself, but as he was presumably the leader of the Progenitors, he was interpreted as a God.

In the Fields of Gehenna, deep within the Vaygr Territory, the Hiigarans managed to salvage the Oracle of Gehenna, a machine that holds the data of the location of the Dreadnought. In the Graveyard of Karos, a huge area of debris from both ancient Hiigaran ships as well as Progenitor derelicts, they found out about the nature of thee Progenitors. They were not indigenous to the Hiigaran Galaxy, and a unknown event caused their demise. Many vessels controlled by ancient Progenitor AI guarded the remnants of their makers. Such as the Keepers, hard armored and incredibly powerful ships who destroy every intruder without any warning. But the Hiigarans were able to destroy one of those Keepers with the means of other Progenitor artifacts.

That way they could salvage the Dreadnought and use it against the Vaygr forces. However, one of the Hiigaran Leaders, Captain Soban, was captured. In an attempt to save him, the Hiigaran Fleet was trapped by two Keepers, the Keepers of Abassid. The Hiigarans didn't manage to destroy them. They were indestructible.

In a sacrifice, the Bentusi saved the Hiigarans by self-destroying the last of their ships, the Great Harborship of Bentus. The explosion was big enough to eliminate the Keepers. But the Core aboard Bentus remained intact and the Hiigarans salvaged it. Thus, they were then in possession of both cores.

The Hiigaran Fleet continued their travel and attacked Taddis Sabbah, a heavily fortified base of the Vaygr forces. Captain Soban was hold captured there. A huge battle emerged - the Hiigarans succeeded with many losses.

Taddis Sabbah was destroyed and Captain Soban saved. He told them about the Gate of Balcora, the Gate that leads to Balcora where Sajuuk resides. Balcora is a large cluster of Black Holes which make hyperspace impossible in a large area. But the Gate makes it possible to enter this hostile area of space.

Just in time the Hiigarans managed to destroy the remaining Vaygr Forces which were desperately trying to disable the Gate after Makaan escaped to Balcora. The final battle for Sajuuk was hard but ended quickly. The last few Vaygr forces could not withstand the power of the meanwhile large Hiigaran Fleet. Makaan's Flagship was destroyed and the Third Core salvaged.

Then, the PRIDE OF HIIGARA was disabled. All systems were deactivated, and both Cores left the Mothership, with Karan S'jet aboard. The Three were united. Sajuuk was awakened. The entire Hiigaran Fleet returned to Hiigara to end the siege through the remaining Vaygr forces who didn't know about the defeat of Makaan.

When Sajuuk appeared in the orbit over Hiigara, the Hiigarans were encouraged again and started a major counterstrike against the Vaygr Barrier. Suddenly, during the battle, three hyperjump signatures were detected - of Mothership type. The signatures were similar to those of the Bentusi. Three starfish shaped vessels appeared of unknown origin, of unknown age, of unknown intentions. They ignored all hailings. And then they started weapons of mass destruction - low orbit atmosphere deprivation missiles.

They were working in the same way as the fusion bombs that destroyed Kharak 100 years ago. However, this time the Hiigarans managed to destroy all of the missiles with the means of fast moving interceptors. As these vessels, classified as "Planetkiller", possessed too strong armor for conventional weapons, they had to be destroyed by Sajuuk. Only the long-range weapon of Sajuuk was able to pierce their armor.

When all three Planetkillers were destroyed, the remaining Vaygr forces retreated... Hiigara was safe.

The End Time

With the final defeat of the Vaygr, a new age of exploration and discovery began. The damages of the previous wars were undone, and the galaxy was united in peace again. Even the remnants of the former Taiidan Empire as well as the Turanic Kingdoms and the Vaygr Reaches were forced into the Galactic Council, making them part of the newly established United Hiigaran Republic which united all states amongst the galaxy.

But one secret remained. Deep within the unknown regions of the Galaxy, the Eye of Arraan was found. It was opened through the power of The Three. What laid behind let the entire Galaxy stand in awe and wonderment...

The Era of S'jet

Immediately, after the discovery of that Hypergate Network, the Kiith Manaan began with the exploration of the Galaxy. They entered every single corner of it. But the Hypergate Network was bigger than just galaxy-wide. It connected several galaxies - some were not even known.

However - they did not dare to enter the foreign galaxies, not knowing what possible threats could lurk there. Thus, they first checked each galaxy with the use of probes and large sensor arrays, to detect any civilization long before they could be discovered themselves.
At the Nntao Gate in the southern regions of the Hiigaran Galaxy they began with their first intergalactic exploration mission. The gates led them to a spiral galaxy - into the very west of it. There they scanned the space for inhabited planets. Not far away, about one day of Hyperspace travel, they discovered an inhabited planet with a pretty advanced civilization on it. An expedition was sent to discover its position and its situation.

The discovery
The planet is infected with some kind of organic matter which subverts pretty much everything into its own basics. However, this thing is nowhere close to the Beast. Instead of creating a neural network, it just keeps growing and replicating itself. Also, it causes a special way of evolution on the planet, for it emitting a strong radiation that is lethal to all known beings. Furthermore, this object contains a lot of unknown material, and more important - it is a very strong energy source. This makes it to a valuable resource. The "plant", as it is being described due to its habits that are familiar with the flora on the planet, it sucks all minerals in the environment like a sponge, claiming the entire place for itself, destroying every other plant that resides close to it. It materializes itself in the shape of a crystal, which makes them a beautiful but deadly sight.

The indigenous population refers to this object as "Tiberium", named after the place where it was found about 80 years ago. Since then, two main factions claimed possession on it: The Global Defense Initiative, abbreviated as GDI, and the Brotherhood of Nod

This planet is divided in three different zones which are indicating the rate of Tiberium infestation: Blue, Yellow and Red Zones. Blue Zones are mostly spared from Tiberium infestation. They are representing the last resorts of the civilized world and are under protection of the GDI. Yellow Zones are contaminated areas of Tiberium, Img. 43: The Brotherhood of Nod however housing most of the indigenous population. After decades of wars and economy crises those areas are destroyed and don't possess any working infrastructure. The Brotherhood of Nod is operating in these regions. Red Zones are that much infested with Tiberium that no human life can exist there anymore. These regions are absolutely lethal to any life form except life based on Tiberium. Page 22 / 26

Judging from the reconnaissance data received through the investigation probe, the GDI is acting as protector of the last remaining civilized parts on this world, while the Brotherhood of Nod aims to help the people residing in the heavily / medium infected zones of the planet and to use the Tiberium for their own purpose - mainly for military strategies. Those two factions are hostile to each other, falling in war against each other all over again, causing huge losses amongst the indigenous population. Some others, non-indigenous structures were found on the planet, in the heavily infested zones not suitable for human life. It seems they were constructed by an alien race that invaded the planet not long ago, but it was defeated by the local population.

Those structures seem to be inactive, though.

In case that the alien race makes another attempt to invade the planet, a medium intervention Fleet was dispatched to patrol outside the safety perimeter of Earth, between the 4th and 5th planet in the solar system. If they return, it will intervene to protect the indigenous population from the alien threat.
Calculations are indicating that in about 40 years the infestation with Tiberium will be that intense that no human life can exist on the surface of the planet anymore. The Daiamid ordered to prevent this from happening and to establish a mining operation on that planet, to harvest the energy source in order to increase the power and capabilities of the Hiigaran ships.

However, the Galactic Council denied any interventions from outside. No one is allowed to invade the planet, even by wanting this planet to become part of the Galactic Council and to help it advancing.

The Tiberium Conflict

The Galactic Council was aware that their decision could cause a large scale war. Indeed, only a few days after the decision of the Galactic Council, large fleets of almost every force in the Hiigaran Galaxy assembled at the Eye of Aarran, to enforce control over the Hypergate Network and thus over the Tiberium on Earth. The most powerful forces were the Hiigarans and the Vaygr, however even pacific factions such as the Taiidan Republic and the Tobari Empire mobilized their offensive forces. War seemed to be inevitable. The only thing that saved the Hiigaran Galaxy from being shattered by yet another war was the relenting of the Galactic Council about their decision regarding the claim to Earth. They granted access to the planet for only ONE faction: The Kiith Somtaaw from the Hiigaran Empire, for their trustworthiness and their honesty. And because they are familiar with mining operations, as this operation was such one.

But the Council set terms for this exception:

Only ONE landing pod and only ONE base are allowed to be established from the beginning. The ONLY means of technology they are permitted to use is those of the local inhabitants. There must not be ANY warships within the safety zone perimeter around Earth. Weapons of massive destruction resp. ship weapons must NOT be used.

The violation of any of these terms will cause the immediate invalidity of the contract and thus an intervention of all factions involved into the claim to Earth, regardless of their intention.
