Confession of Sins
Almighty and Most Merciful Father, we come before You, acknowledging our sins, our shortcomings, and our breaking of our Covenant with You. Not only have we done things we ought not to have done, said things we ought not to have said, left undone so many things we ought to have done and been silent when we should have witnessed for You.
CONFESSION OF SINS
Not only are we guilty of that, O Lord; but we have also closed our eyes and pretended not to see the injustices, the racism and the evil which pervade our everyday lives. We have shut our ears and pretended not to hear the cries for liberation which come from the lips, lives and hearts of the oppressed even our own Black brothers and sisters! Forgive us, O Lord, renew our courage and faith, and keep us ever mindful of Thy great sacrifice. Hear us, we beseech Thee, as we come to You in love and worship giving Your Name the praise forevermore. ****** To All Our Visitors ... To all who mourn and need comforting ... To all who are friendless and want friendship ... To all who are oppressed and need liberation; and to whosoever will come, Trinity opens its doors. Thank you for coming, and may God bless you.

O God, we have been called to be a debt-free congregation. We are called to teach our community, children, and grandchildren the discipline of tithing, the power of budgeting, the blessing of saving, and the benefit of investing. We desire to live debt-free because it honors God and our ancestors, who died not for debt, but that we may live free with our God. Amen.

Devotions Guide
June Devotional Guide
2013 Theme: Raising LeadersDeveloping Disciples Focus for June: Action Speaks Louder than Words Scripture Focus: Romans 5:8 (NIV) But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Its Family month here at Trinity United Church of Christ, and our excitement is spreading throughout the congregation. This wonderful gift, experience, and blessing to be the family of God is too good - in fact impossible, to keep to ourselves. Our memory verse says it all, and gives us the perfect model for family love that we are striving to show in our day-to-day actions, as the leaders, disciples, and the family of God: But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (NIV) God did not just verbally tell us that He loved us; it was demonstrated, as Jesus Christ, the Son of God, laid down his own life for us. The proof and timely manner of Christs death was placed into action at a time when we were of no use to him: While we were yet sinners! For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 (KJV) The grammatical Greek breakdown of the verbs in this one passage means all offend God, period, not past tense; but Greek Aorist means, "pure and simple, and misses the mark!" That is, present tense, which includes the church folks as well as the unchurched! (Im just saying!) Our focus for family month is Action Speaks Louder than Words! As the family of God, having experienced the love of God, it is expected and should be understood, that we are to spread patient, forgiving, unconditional love everywhere we go, to all we meet. Just calling ourselves the family of God, or calling ourselves the church, is not enough; it must be demonstrated. Like Gods love, Action Speaks Louder than Words. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples when they see the love you have for each other. John 13:35 (The Message) So what is Jesus saying? Your Action speaks louder (than your titles and positions in the family of God) than your words!

Devotions Guide
Christ took on the sacrificial death to save us (the world) while we were unloving, judgmental, arrogant, self serving, and ignoring God, having turned our backs on Him. It was in the midst of this that God demonstrated His unconditional love for us. What does God ask or demand in return? If my people, (the family of God Leaders, disciples) which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) Who do you think my mother and brothers are?(Gods family are?) 49He then stretched out his hand toward his disciples. Look closely. These are my mother and brothers. 50Obedience is thicker than blood. The person who obeys my heavenly Fathers will is my brother and sister and mother. Matthew 12:46 (The Message) All Jesus was saying and what we should hide in our heart this family month and forever, is Action Speaks Louder than Words! Lets bless God in song and our actions! I Need You to Survive I need you, you need me; were all a part of Gods body. Stand with me, agree with me; were all a part of Gods body. It is His will that every need be supplied; you are important to me, I need you to survive. You are important to me, I need you to survive. I pray for you, you pray for me; I love you, I need you to survive. I wont harm you with words from my mouth; I love you, I need you to survive. *** Happy Family Month 2013! The Chaplains Ministry

Hi! Hello! How are you doing? My name is Malachi. I am 14 years old. I LOVE my family! My brother is Joshua. Important people Pastor Moss, Nurse Julie, Ms. Lattimore. I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy my muscles are weak, but my mind is strong! In the Bible, I am a messenger of God and my family truly believes that my purpose here on earth is to bring a message to Gods people. Sometimes people stare at me cuz theyre not sure what happened to me; all they see are all the tubes and my breathing machine. Dont look at the tubes and stuff, just look at ME. Look into my eyes and you will see my heart! I cant open my mouth and talk, but I can say everything I need to say with my eyes and my Dynavox computer. I have so much to tell you about me! They say I am a miracle because I wasnt supposed to live past the age of two; but I am living and I am BUSY at work being a 14-year-old kid! God IS good, ALL the time! Mom! Mommy, come here! Suction, please. Dad! Dad! Can I watch a movie, please? I LOVE my family and I know you will too. Helping to take care of me will bless both me and you. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart! My family takes good care of me and the nurses do, too. I need my family and nurses to bathe, dress, and feed me. They give me a lot of medicines and special care so that my lungs stay strong and my body stays healthy. Mom and Dad need more help; Mom and Dad are tired.
