Our special width tolerances are achieved through an offline 100% weld edge grinding process.
This ensures clean flat edges for superior welding.
Even closer tolerances may be accepted after special agreement.

the web edge.
Bulb flats are manufactured with rounded edges,
eliminating the need for the labour-intensive and costly
grinding process needed to meet new International
Maritime Organistion guidelines.

2.0 Surface Condition


The surface requirements and repair conditions for shipbuilding profiles are in accordance with EN 10163-3:2004, subclass 3, class C.
Maximum permissible depth of discontinuities and grinding allowance below minimum specified thickness are given in table below:

3.0 Requirements for Blast-Cleaned and Primed Material


The material can be delivered in blast-cleaned and primed condition in accordance with EN10238:1996. The standard supply conditions are as follows:
