Woodruff Church of God e-Edition Newsletter May 28, 2013

Pastors Notes: For some time, we have had many of our church members/attendees being diagnosed with cancer or other diseases/issues. Weve been praying for them and believing God for their healing. A couple of weeks ago, the Lord began to deal with me about having a special service for healing. This coming Sunday night, we will be having a service of communion & healing. We know that communion represents the body and the shed blood of the Lord. He told us as often as we do this, we should do it to remember Him. But we also believe that the shed blood of Jesus not only has the power to redeem us, but it also has the power to heal us!!! Perry Stone, an evangelist in the Church of God, has written a book entitled The Meal That Heals. In this book he teaches the power of partaking in the communion meal in regards to having healing in our bodies. I truly believe that the Lord has laid this service on my heart. So we are encouraging anyone that is sick in their body, diagnosed with some kind of disease, struggling with some kind of problem..doesnt even have to be physical, to attend. We will be doing communion with families. There will be 4 stations where we will be calling for families to come and well be dealing with certain sicknesses or problems. Finally, if people in attendance do not have sickness or problems, well have communion with them and their families. It may take us awhile, but I truly believe this is the way the Lord has designed this service.

In the meantime, prepare yourselves. Make sure that you have removed anything from your life not pleasing to the Lord. Make sure that you have tried to fix any relationship issues. If you have a problem with someone or you know they have a problem with you, try to resolve it. We dont want anything to prevent the Lord from doing in your life what He wants to do. I believe the Lord will do great things!!!!!

We want to congratulate all our graduates!!! There was a great message delivered Sunday Morning by Pastor Jason Fowler in telling you that you need a road map/directions and you need a guide. If you will allow the Lord to be your guide and use the Word of God as your road map, you will always know that you are following the plan & purpose of God for your life. Your church family is proud of you and we are praying for your continued success in life!

Congratulations to our new members: Ritchie, Shannon, Anthony & Autumn Bishop! WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!!!!!
