Reference: Executive Officer and State Secretary Report State Conference notes the reports from Bro Webb and Sis Allan concerning the many organisational changes within the Branch to improve and build upon our organisational performance and capacity. In particular, Conference notes our integration program and Whole of Union Approach in prosecuting the business and operations of our organisation. State Conference acknowledges and thanks all Staff, Officials and Officers who are involved. These positive changes have delivered many outstanding results in increasing the operational capacity of the Branch. State Conference further notes the importance of continuing and building upon the organisational capacity into the future. Our organisational capacity must be strong and effective if we are to support our organising and recruiting activities. State Conference further acknowledges and thanks Delegates for their important contribution and deliberations to improve our organisational capacity. Conference further endorses the past actions of our leadership and their vision for our future. State Conference recognises the importance of sharing information and ideas across our networks quickly and efficiently. The way in which we transmit information must be fluid and fully functional. Staying connected to our Staying connected membership encourages activism and vibrancy in our Union.

Recommendation State Conference, calls on the Executive Officer under the direction of the State Secretary to undertake the following 1. Undertake exploratory work to Delegates 2. Improve internal and external communications. As an example: Explore improvements to our ability to text/sms members and Delegates in particular an increase in characters available Explore transition of Branch peak body documents to electronic mediums eg Board Books Implementation of an Office Holders tracking system to track office/position held and length of tenure 3. Continue to encourage members to take up direct debit as a preferred method of payment of union dues 4. Identify further opportunities to build organisational capacity and improve operational performance within the Branch further opportunities to increase our

networks including direct member (1:1) contact with members and
