Hon Deputy Chief Whip The Hon Member of Mayoral Comm- Clr Terrence Mashego Coucillors Distinguished guests Ladies and Gentlemen

Thank Mr Programme Director for affording me this opportunity to on behalf of the Parliamentary Constituency of Soshanguve, wish to thank and express our outmost gratitude to this initiative. Indeed this is truly a special and a day not to be forgotten, A day that that most if not all of us was shall see it as an event that seekes to change the lives of our youth Again let me take this opportunity of appreciating and acknowledging the importance and the role that the Deputy President continues to play in the Constituency, Demonstration of commitment and care, as it was demonstrated on 5th August 2011 at Memezelo High, a school that had challenges that affected the moral of educators and learners. His intervention after seeing the state of dilapidation and his association with business, saw a school transformed into a productive and functional school, and whose yearly matriculation results now speak volumes. The Deputy President, has on occasions since the beginning of term that is 2009 , had the opportunity to listen to the frustrations and needs the youth constituency, and this Indaba is in actual a culmination of these interaction s with the in his Costituency, for that Deputy President, on behalf of the PCO Management , we wish to say Rea leboga.

The involment of the three spherse is imperative, for government to be seen and more still to be more effective in delivering its mandate of serving its people and empowering and creating job opportunities. There is need a better synergized, collaboration and communication. . Programme Director, Again allow me to take this opportunity to acknowledge and also appreciate the importance of Public, Private Partnership, I will be the first to concede that Government cannot do without Business and other influential stakeholders. This relationship or better still this partnership needs to given the attention it deserves by all spheres of government, to better the lives of our youth, This initiative is truly appreciated, and we wish to thank Microsoft, Google SA, Alenxandra Forbes for committing themselves to empowering our youth, and I am confident that Business that are represented here today SAB, FNB, Sitas and many others are shall in due course commit themselves. Crime and substance abuse is a societal problem, many of our youth have fallen victim to substance with dire consequences, business whose products are used, such the sniffing of glue, should indeed be involve in fighting this scourge. It is my humble conviction that politicians, business, religious organizations, NGOs and other relevant stakeholders, if we all be unite in fighting this scourge, we shall in time over come. Let me conclude by saying thank you the Deputy President, Deputy Minister, the Executive mayor in absentia, NYDA, our guests, Business, all the sponsors whom without your gracious hand the constituency would not have been able to convene this event, and on behalf of our youth, this is day that will not be forgotten , there renewed hope and with hope there is determination.
