The Logistics
The Terminal will take coal from up to two barges simultaneously by using 4 of the Terminals 5 cranes. One crane in spare for overhaul and moving equipment around. The coal from the barges will either go to the Terminals cargo holds, or directly through the hoppers and conveyor system to the Off-take vessel. When loading an Off-take vessel the coal can be taken either from the Terminals cargo holds, or from barges, or from a combination of the two.

The Terminal is designed to load a Cape size vessel without having to move either vessel during the loading.

What new do we offer?

Floating stockpile (segregated) with a storage capacity of about 140,000mt of coal with a loading capacity of about 60,000t/day to the Off-take vessel. No shifting of the vessels during loading operation. Better utilization of barges as the feeding to the FCSTU can be done continuously Fast discharging of the barges Possibility of highly efficient Logistics Package from shore stockpile to the off take vessel depending on the river(s) to be used. Possibility of tailor made Self Propelled Barges built to the specific need of the client to ensure maximum utilization of the barges (size and speed) and the floating stockpile. Possibility of having a fully operational laboratory onboard. Greatly reduced demurrage charges for the client by having up to 2 Panamax cargoes or 1 Baby Cape cargo onboard ready to be loaded upon the Off-take vessels arrival. Blending possibilities on the conveyor belt through the 4 hoppers The delivery time of a fully operational unit is approximately 14-16 months from Contract signing.

Financial Benefits
Competitive Blending, Storage and Transfer rates. Saving on barging due to higher utilization. Number of barges can be reduced for the same quantity transported Improved blending efficiencies at point of loading Faster turnaround with loading rates of abt 60,000t/day Reduced freight rates by use of larger vessels and faster turnaround Reduced Demurrage
