The idea of a Contemporary Worship Service has been talked about in our congregation and among the staff

for several years. The staff and the Church Council think it is a good time to pursue the idea and see how God will bless the effort. Several questions come to mind when talking about such a service. They include: Do you think we need it? Yes, we are not reaching a large segment of our community for Jesus that would benefit from the service as well as those already in our congregation that would attend. Will it Cost something? Monetarily no, it should not. We have what we need already to be holding the service. Time, talent and commitment, YES, it will take commitment on the part of the worship leaders. When would we have it? This is still being discussed. Your input would be appreciated. Im sure there are many other questions. I would encourage you to talk with a staff member about your concerns and ideas. We want to hear from you. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday. Paul

SHOCKWAVE MUSICAL Last Wednesday was another awesome time of worship, led by out youth choir, SHOCKWAVE, and the DRAMA TEAM. Everyone present was blessed beyond measure and overwhelmed with the talent and skill of those singing and acting. Thanks to each leader who has worked diligently this year to bring these fine teens to their level of excellence. Thanks to the AV Team, as well for another Job Well Done. CDs and DVDs of the musical are available. Contact an AV Team member or the office to purchase your copy. SAINTS ALIVE REPORTS The Saints Alive Choir shared two concerts of Gaither music lat Monday at Willow Ridge Assisted Living and at Bainbridge Healthcare. Each of the groups really enjoyed our presentation. We even had a lady dancer who shared her gifts as two of the songs were sung. Our enjoyable morning ended with a trip to Boyds Bar-B-Q for lunch. What a great day of ministry! Next Monday, May 20th will find us sharing the same program of heartwarming Gaither music at Riverside Place Assisted Living at 9:00 AM and Memorial Manor at 10:30 AM. Lunch will follow at a local spot TBA. I still have the music. Come and expect another blessing next Monday.
