Team Learning Workshop

Course Description Bringing your team to the next level of performance requires that members learn how to learn as a team. Team learning which is one of the five disciplines identified by Peter Senge in his book The Fifth Discipline (1990) is challenging because the process of learning how to learn collectively is something people are not very familiar with. We are more familiar with terms like brainstorming or problem solving sessions where people come to a forum looking forward to contributing their own knowledge and experience or even advocate their own idea of a solution. In team learning members recognize that despite the knowledge and experience that they bring to the table, there is an agreement that the solution is unknown and that the collective knowledge of the team and brainpower of each individual in the team can contribute to cocreating a new solution or a new arrangement. YOUR TEAM needs this! They need to be equipped with tools to create the right environment, use a commonly understood structure and language to learn how they can improve together. Workshop Objectives By the end of the workshop, the learners would be able to: Appreciate the concept of team learning as a means to improve team performance Appreciate how surfacing mental models can help in team learning Describe the necessary skills in promoting generative dialogues Establish norms for team learning Ed Ebreo is the president and founder of ExeQserve corporation.
