Dear Candidate, With reference to your application for admission into the M.Tech programme in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, you are hereby requested to appear for counseling, in the Mechanical Engineering Seminar Room at 9 A.M. on 11-06-2013. (2) You will be required to bring the following documents. (a) Downloaded and signed copy of the online application affixed on it.

(4) The second list of selected candidates will be made available if all the candidates in the first list do

not join and there are some vacancies, and it will be displayed on the notice board of the Department of Mechanical Engineering around noon of 13-06-2013. The candidates selected under the second list shall have to deposit admission fee in full (as per details indicated at Annexure-A)* to reserve their seats. (5) Subject through numbers keep on to know to vacancy of seats, if any further selection list is drawn, candidates shall be intimated e-mail. Candidates not having e-mail id shall be intimated through fax, provided such fax are stated in his/her admission application form. (7) You should attend the counseling only if you have fulfilled all the eligibility criteria for admission in to MTech programme as per the advertisement. If you have appeared in the qualifying degree examination and your results are awaited OR you are going to appear in all the subiects of your qualifying degree examination before 15-07-2013, you may appear in the counseling. Please note that, for such candidates, selections shall be provisional. All such provisionally selected candidates shall have to produce their original pass certificates and Mark Sheets of the qualifying degree examination latest by 26-08-2013, for regularization; if they fail to meet this deadline, their admissions shall stand automatically cancelled. (8) Please note that T A/DA will not be paid for attending the counseling.

(9) Accommodation

may be provided in Boys Hostels for male students and Subansiri Hostel for female students at IIT Guwahati campus depending on availability. However, candidates will have to bring their own bedrolls. For availing accommodations, interested candidates are requested to confirm before 25th May, 2013 through email tODJ9.g.!J.off(g}jjJ-K.GT!JQtjl}.

(10) Regular IIT bus services (from morning 8.00 AM to evening 8.55 PM) are available from Pan Bazar (Near President Hotel, Panbazar, about 1 km from the railway station) to IIT Guwahati campus. From Airport, pre-paid taxis are available and it takes about 30-40 minutes to reach IIT Guwahati.
Note*: In case you decide to withdraw from the programme by intimating (sending also the copy of your admission fee deposit receipt, without which your request for, withdrawal will not be valid) the institute, Emal: aCGillCillii1K ..GrDGLU, latest by 01-07-2013, a sum of of Rs. through its Fax No. 036 i -2582090/2690762, 1000/- only shall be deducted from your admission fee deposit, and the balance amount shall be refunded to the address, to be specified by you in the fax letter.
