Women’s Retreat 2008

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ
hath made us free, and be not entangled again with
the yoke of bondage.

A Weekend to Renew in Christ
Women of God,
May this note find you in the care
and blessings of God with all
things that concern you managed
and addressed. This weekend is
a time of spiritual renewal. With
prayer, praise and power, we
stand delighted that you have
accepted our invitation.
Our focus is simple – we plan to
glorify God, study His word and
apply the Bible to our lives. God
has a growth plan for each of us.
We believe through careful study,
reflection, prayer and fellowship,
this plan will become evident to
all in attendance.
The time we face the world is a
time that we must gird ourselves
with the power that God has
bestowed upon us as His
children. The dedication we have
made in this time is to become
closer with God, the Father, and
Jesus Christ, His son and our
Savior along with the blessings of
the Holy Spirit.
Use this retreat to gather your
strength. Use this time to give
your burdens to God. Use this
moment to renew because we
each have God’s work to do.
This year takes us to San Antonio
for a spiritual blessing. Let’s
resolve ourselves to fully engage
by acknowledging that God can
do anything. Let’s make this
opportunity one that resonates
with us long after we have parted
each other’s company. Let’s
draw our full attention towards
being the vessel that God created
us to be.
A vessel is a container that holds
something to be poured out at a
later time. Let’s fill ourselves with
God’s word, the Holy Spirit and
the love of Jesus. Let’s take that
back and pour it over our
households, children, work, and
community.
Be blessed and rely on the Lord
in everything, it is the only way to
conquer, live and grow.
