Overview
True Day/Night
The SR-220-2812 integrates 3 super bright hybrid IR LED arrays that are sized and angled to provide flawless IR illumination. This eliminates IR hotspots and washout for up to 220 feet. The camera comes equipped with a Mechanical IR Cut Filter (MICF) that is photocell controlled for automatic switching between day and night modes. All of the IR LEDs are hand welded to increase both performance and life.

Enclosure
These components are integrated into a rugged extruded aluminum housing with a ELD tempered glass viewing window. The SR-220-2812 is rated to an impressive IP 68 water-ingress protection allowing it to be installed outdoors or in wash-down applications, and even withstand full submersion for a time. An internal heater/blower kit maintains a consistent internal temperature for operation in -55C to +60C allowing this camera to maintain performance in the most extreme environments.

Installer Friendly
The Sting-Ray series was built with the installer in mind. Its unique 4 axis design allows you to quickly and easily position the lens and camera. The camera is pre-programmed to operate under standard lighting conditions and has OSD and test monitor outputs allowing you to make adjustments without going back to your DVR. It comes with a heavy-duty rotating wall mount with a wiring tunnel for the video and power leads. Its easy lock and twist design and autosensing 12VDC/24VAC dual voltage makes for a quick and professional install that can be finished in under 10 minutes.

The SR-220-2812 is powered by a high resolution 1/3 Super HAD CCD imager. This top grade camera engine produces 700TVL resolution with accurate color reproduction. It has excellent sensitivity to both IR and visible light spectrums making it a true day/ night camera that offers superb color by day and clean, crisp monochrome images by night. This powerful imager is also intelligent and adjusts to changing light conditions. All of these features, in tandem with its image enhancements such as Sense-Up, HLC, and ATR, make it an industry leader in both features and performance.

Sense-Up
The Sting-Ray series incorporates Sense-Up, also known as DSS, an image processing technology that greatly enhances the cameras ability to see in low light. Sense-Up enhances existing light to give color images. With Sense-Up enabled this camera can produce color images in light as low as 0.32 lux. If an environment contains less than 0.32 lux the IR option should be added. The SR series also incorporates Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) which eliminates sensor noise and noise caused by Sense-up and IR illumination for clean, crisp images and a reduction in file size.

Intelligent IR
Ascendents active IR cameras have integrated Automatic Processor Control (AMC) and Electronic Photocell Control (EPC), Mechanical IR Cut-Filter (MICF) and a host of other technologies to ensure the optics, image sensor, lens, MICF and IR arrays work in tandem to eliminate hot-spots and washout. The SR-220-2812 IR LED arrays are optimally spaced and angled to provide evenly distributed IR and the MICF filter blocks parasitic light before it reaches the sensor further enhancing image clarity. This results in flawless active IR performance up to 220 feet for true day/night performance even in complete darkness.

On Screen Display (OSD) Camera Setup

This camera comes packed with some of our most popular features. They are all controlled through the OSD programming, which allows you to program virtually every aspect of the camera. Highlight Compensation (HLC) recognizes bright light and reduces overexposure by suppressing and masking the sources (such as headlights and street lights). Ascendents VRD series also allows you to program the intensity of the light masking. Auto Tone Reduction (ATR) improves the visibility of the entire picture by providing the optimum gradation compensation. This analyzes the image and optimizes it to ensure accurate color reproduction and contrast.

IR and Low Light

Our SR-220-2812 camera incorporates Digital Noise Reduction (DNR 2) to deliver color images in low light conditions. The 3 IR LED arrayss provide illumination which allows you to see in complete darkness. The Sense-Up, IR, and MICF work together for flawless illumination. Alternative IR configurations such as stealth IR are available.
