Profile
I am an articulate person who has many practical and communication skills. I have a strong desire for success and a willing to work hard, effectively and efficiently, with an imagination for unique ideas. Right now I am looking for a suitable position with a company that will give me the chance to develop a long term career path within their business.

Relevant Experience
Writing: News stories, investigative pieces, features, interviews, reviews, profiles and shorthand. Radio: Regular workshops of working with radio broadcasts, creating a personal radio broadcast. Online Journalism: Fashion blog, News blog, and Group website. TV: Group news reel, Personal news broadcast, and Group news broadcast. Magazine projects: Created our individual niche magazine, and worked within a group in a newsroom to create a magazine within a time limit.

Skills

Research skills: Essay and article research via library, internet and contacts. Creating content and editing: Using the programmes provided I can edit a vox-pop, interview or presenting piece so that it flows accordingly. Interviewing: Use of a Dictaphone, scripting, own initiative of questions and use of listening skills. IT: Word, PowerPoint, Access, Internet Explorer, email, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, InDesign, Photoshop, notepad, and Garageband. Goal Orientated: Reaching deadlines and eager to better myself. Willingness to learn: I want to learn new skills that will help me to become a professional journalist. Teamwork: I enjoy working in both team environments and independently.

Problem solving: I have overcome any challenge that has arisen whilst trying to create journalistic pieces for university e.g. filming in public places and getting interviews. Communication skills: Working in retail keeps me communicating with the public on a regular basis.. Dependability: I have handled many sensitive issues whilst working in retail without the supervision of a manager. I also used my own initiative and dependability when collecting interviews and vox-pops for The Pulse radio. Providing excellent customer service: I work in a customer focused employment. Creativity: Writing scripts and articles; directing and adapting news broadcasts; keeping up to date with my designed blog.

Interests

Music: I listen to many different genres of music and attend regular gigs and festivals. I keep up to date with the latest music via the internet, music channels and radio. Journalism: I read a broad range of publications (local and national) for the latest news and features. New Media: I research on the Internet including blogs. Fashion: I attend regular fashion shows and keep up to date with the latest trends via the internet, the high street, magazines, television and my work place. Cinema: I go to cinema with friends, discuss film and read reviews. Literature: I love to read and read many reviews. Television: I watch a wide range of television shows and dramas. Creative writing: I currently have a blog about student life. Socialising: I communicate with a range of people and keep up to date with the latest events in different cities.
