STUNT (noun, verb, adjective): The art of channeling your optimal lifestyle to inform how you communicate who you are and the career path you choose. STUNT is aimed at helping people identify and cultivate their innate abilities in a way that maximizes their lifestyle and career. Rather than traditional personal/professional development publications and platforms, STUNT is unique in that it is from the perspective of a millennial still in the heart of the journey. It draws from insights gleaned during the struggle to find oneself, developing a different approach to self-analysis and refining actionable steps toward how to chart an effective path forward. STUNT will equip corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, and career-driven students with an understanding of the tools they possess, and the ones they should seek to obtain in order to achieve their optimal lifestyle. The title of the book, STUNT, was carefully chosen as it encapsulates what we are all chasing. The colloquial pop culture term typically refers to the act of showing out or a sense of over-confidence/cockiness without thought of consequence. To some, the term may have a negative connotation however, if we delve deeper into what is actually happening, we get to the root of the definition. When someone seems over-confident or cocky, the action is based on a need to make a statement. They STUNT in order to stand out and to draw attention to themselves as being separate from the proverbial herd of sheep. This one action does not make them a disingenuous person; it is just that they tapped into their need for gratification of being a unique individual. STUNT will purposefully blur the lines of the pop culture definition in order to bring about a new sense of self-awareness. The book will demonstrate how this definition of showing out can actually be transitioned to be a more positive way of communicating our true self; our personal brand.

KIEL BERRY
Kiel Berry spent his high school years in Paris, France, continuing on to attend the University of Pennsylvania and graduating with a degree in Economics. Upon graduation, Kiel spend 4 years in JPMorgans Investment Banking Division, where he worked in New York, London and South Africa. He then joined marketing startup, Team Epiphany, for 3 years, primarily focused on Business Development and New Business initiatives; helping to grow the company to a 35+ person team with revenue of $15mm+. In addition, he consulted multiple startup companies around the world. In 2011, Kiel relocated to Los Angeles to join Creative Artists Agency, working in both the Entertainment Marketing and International Business Development divisions. Most recently, Kiel is Executive Vice President of the Grammy-award winning American rock band Linkin Parks proprietary company, Machine Shop, where he will focus on restructuring, rebranding, and relaunching the business, leverage a global reach of over 50 million Facebook fans.

The book is structured to introduce the concept of STUNT in a way that the reader can best digest it. With 5 distinct sections, the book will guide the reader through how to develop their STUNT. I. STUNTTRAVEL This is the story of a boy who was quite young when I met him; only a toddler. I realized then that he was the key to understanding what it meant to STUNT. Over the course of a few decades, I watched as he developed his multiple tools and distinctive advantages in the world. I witnessed both the highs and the lows as he grew from boy to man and eventually a STUNTMAN. I will tell the reader his story and highlight the tools he develops, the lessons he learns, and the people in his life who were guideposts that he used to traverse lifes jungle. Just as this boy travels on his journey, they will identify with his struggles and successes. The story will then become an example of a lifes journey that will continually be referenced throughout the book to provide context to the various concepts and lessons. II. STUNTLIFE This section will delve into ways the reader will learn to define and chart their life, making them aware of every touch point and its importance in their overall journey to STUNT. The section will outline the ways to map out and remain steadfast to those touch points in their life, and describes the importance of each one in their overall STUNT. Just as a Fortune 500 company seeks to build its brand with a clear and consistent message, so too should the reader with their STUNT. Whether they are at work, at home with their family, or just out with friends, their STUNT will become their personal brand, their mantra, and their raison dtre. Ultimately, though consistent, this personal brand will and should evolve over time. As they are confronted with new challenges, introduced to new concepts and experiences, and are influenced by inspiring people, it will mature with age. Like a fine wine, whose grapes are the same, however the taste profile is consistently changing until it is consumed, their STUNTLIFE will mature and become more complex and refined as well. III. STUNTSTAGES Once they have defined this life, I will outline the key stages that will create the most disruption and allow them to take meaningful leaps forward in both their life and ultimately their career. This section is meant to explain how the art of the STUNT can be implemented and manipulated to help them take those substantial leaps forward in their life, and as a result their professional career. Up until this point in the book, career will not be the focus, as I am a true believer that career should be a byproduct of the lifestyle one chooses to live. Though one will spend the majority of their waking life pursuing ones career, it should not become ones life. I agree with the European motto; work to live, not live to work. This section helps the reader to use their STUNTLIFE to break down their professional goals into stages and shows them that it should not be a straight path to professional fulfillment. Those that succeed in their career will say that they took detours along the way. I agree with them that their detours were actually what enabled them to be outliers amongst their peers. This section makes sense of the detours the reader may encounter and helps them put their current professional state into perspective in an overall plan toward attaining career happiness. IV. STUNTCODE STUNTCODE is focused on dissecting the code that all successful STUNTMEN and STUNTWOMEN live by, and which we must all live by to achieve our STUNT. This section will itemize the key traits they developed and give the reader insight into the impact that each component has on the overall development process. In order to navigate their STUNTSTAGES and ensure that they do not go off the rails, the reader must agree to follow a certain set of assumptions; codes. They will define their stages, chart their path, and build their STUNT, however

STUNT / NAVIGATE THE JOURNEY just like Newtons Laws of Motion, they should engage STUNT with an underlying principle; a foundational code. They will want to be cognizant of this code and aware of it at all times, taking it into account as they go about their journey. This code will act as the foundation on which they build their STUNT. Deviation from the STUNTCODE may lead to short-term frustration and long-term disappointment with their life. To be aware of this will help them to remain steadfast to their STUNT. V. STUNTERVIEWS STUNT will provide the reader real-life examples of professionals that exemplify the principles outlined in the book, I have conducted a series of interviews. These interviews are meant to highlight non-celebrities/ notables that have a clear vision of their STUNT and are manifesting the optimal versions of themselves. By highlighting people who are on the path to success, however have not been over-celebrated by the media and elevated to super-human status, I aim to demonstrate that the transformation process is more attainable for the reader. The interview set has been deliberately diverse in gender, geography, and industry to provide a thorough cross-section that can relate to the broadest demographic of readership. By reading this book, the reader will learn to transform their dreams and aspirations into a formalized strategic vision with tactical steps to achieve it. Each section of the book is geared toward systematically transforming theoretical aspirations into attainable goals.

By learning to visually hone in on what they want to achieve, they will outline the tools they currently have and the ones they still need to attain.

From the outset, STUNT will not follow the constructs of traditional book marketing/promotion. The books message will become a relevant lifestyle brand through the integration, curation, and creation of specific cultural pillars. Rather than introducing the STUNT concept initially through the words on the page, multimedia such as music, video, art, and fashion will communicate the message and therefore give the book context within their lives. By using the book as a platform/foundation for which these creative mediums can communicate, it will ultimately inspire readers as a result. The main cultural pillars that the marketing/PR plan will focus on are: Music Film Tour Activation Fashion These pillars will help to build the brand story and PR momentum necessary to allow STUNT to evolve, grow, and ultimately remain current and new even though the book itself is static. This book is unique from traditional personal/professional development books, as it has been written from the perspective of a millennial, giving a testimonial of his journey through life rather than being written from a retrospective point of view. The millenial perspective is distinct and we become trailblazers by default. We dont want to follow convention, thus we venture out into unchartered territory and learn along the way. Established coaches and leadership mavens are extremely proficient in their field, and this book is not meant to take away from their expert knowledge, however they lack the crucial ability to truly connect and infuse their insights into the millennial vernacular and way of life, which is a truly unique way at delving into the genre of lifestyle development. We are a global generation built on defining ourselves based on our interests and our ability to share them rather than on the careers we choose. Our entire lives are visible in the public domain via our social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc) and therefore we use these channels to define ourselves. We are a global generation that places a high value on our knowledge of the culture, media, art, music, fashion, and sports we consume. We look at the world opportunistically and are always thinking entrepreneurially We strive to be part of movements that allow us to contribute to something bigger than ourselves. We look to collaborate, share, and create with our peers both on and off line. We seldom have loyalty to our jobs, as we constantly strive for diverse and enriching experiences that build our personal brand; the corporation of me.

Kiel Berry spent his high school years in Paris, France, continuing on to attend the University of Pennsylvania and graduating with a degree in Economics. Upon graduation, Kiel joined JPMorgans Investment Banking Division in New York however, building on his international upbringing, Kiel proceeded to work in London and South Africa, focusing on mergers and acquisitions in Europe as well as Sub-Saharan Africa in such industries as real estate, industrials, consumer goods, natural resources, and financial institutions. After 4+ years with JPMorgan, Kiel decided that he had built a strong foundation in business that could propel him into a more entrepreneurial environment, where his skills could be leveraged to grow a burgeoning young business, which brought him to join Team Epiphany in 2008. Team Epiphany is an NYC-based influencer marketing and public relations agency. Kiel worked at Team Epiphany for 3 years, primarily focused on Business Development and New Business initiatives. While at Team Epiphany, Kiel helped the company grow from a team of 8 people, to a 35+ person team with revenue of $15mm+. Team Epiphany was recognized as one of Inc. Magazines Fastest Growing Companies for 3 consecutive years. In addition to his success with Team Epiphany, Kiel consulted multiple startup companies around the world, including the launch of the social learning company Language Cloud in Tokyo, Japan in 2009. In May 2011, Kiel relocated to Los Angeles to join Creative Artists Agency, one of the worlds largest entertainment and sports agencies, where he straddled both the Entertainment Marketing and International Business Development divisions. Most recently in 2013, Kiel became Executive Vice President of the Grammy-award winning American rock band Linkin Parks proprietary company, Machine Shop, where he will focus on restructuring, rebranding, and re-launching the business to effectively leverage Linkin Parks global reach of over 50 million Facebook fans.
