5. CLOSURE: Go over the questions found under the Talk About It section of the Teacher Edition (page 62) as a class. F. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding? The students will be given the Vocab and Study Guide (found on page 19 of the Unit Resources) as homework. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. If the students can accurately complete the Vocab and Study Guide, it will show that they understand how the Native Americans who settled the Plains had to live. G. Reflection: 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? The easiest to teach will be the structures the people lived in. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? The most challenging to teach will probably be the nomadic lifestyle 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? I will follow up this lesson with an art project based on the Plains people. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? We will review these concepts when we do the art project in the next lesson. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? None. 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? The most difficult part was deciding whether or not to have the groups share what they thought the most important animal was aloud to the class.
