TWT Amplifiers
All necessary features required in todays satellite communication applications such as serial/parallel M&c interfaces, local and remote panels are available in this product line. All RF parameters can be monitored and controlled on the front panels. The modular construction ensures easy servicing. The high voltage section is potted and all other electrical components are coated to protect against humidity and dust. An optional microprocessor-controlled remote panel displays additional status information and gives extended control options. The indoor controller is soon available with a LAN interface for additional IP remote control and for easy integration into an overall management system.

Features:
/ Unmatched RF performance / Enhanced TWT longevity / High-tech power supply unit for highly reliable operation / Integrated power factor correction / Low power consumption / Lightweight / Small dimensions (for 750 W Ku-Band Indoor: only 3 RU)

Options:
/ Integrated linearizer / Redundancy switching / Integrated Ku-Band BUC / Remote control panel (outdoor version)

Monitoring & control System

The M&C System provides full monitoring and controlling functionalities for all equipment in the station. It can be controlled locally, from a remote site via satellite or other IP-based networks. The M&C System provides user-oriented, customized views and, together with the appropriate software drivers, is tailored to the architectures of the station it controls. The M&C System can be integrated as part of a turnkey solution or as a ground station retrofit.

Redundancy control Unit

RcU 5000
The Redundancy Control Unit (RCU) manages redundant transmit chains, switching automatically between encoders, QPSK modulators, upconverters and TWTAs. Up to three waveguide/coax switches can be controlled manually (via the front panel), automatically or by remote interface. Redundant power supplies in the unit enhance system availability. Tx or Rx paths are not interrupted in the event of unit failure. This 2 RU device features both local/remote and auto/manual switching, plus a multicolor display, including a LAN interface for additional monitor and control capabilities. The priority is to support smaller 1:1 or 2:1 redundancy systems, without the need for bigger M&C Systems.
RCU Remote Tool: A remote application gives direct access to the unit for monitoring, configuration and update of the unit

Automatic Satellite Access Systems

Automatic Pointing System (APS)
This easy to use and powerful software points the motorized antenna of SNG vehicles or the SkyRAY Light 1200 subsystem fully automatically at a satellite in approximately five minutes. It is designed to be operated by non-technical personnel with only a minimum of training. The APS does not require a spectrum analyzer, additional satellite bandwidth or a beacon receiver for the positioning and can be used with all leading ND SatCom technology platforms. The software is available for SkyWAN and SkyARCS remotes and optional for every DVB carrier. Naturally, manual movement of the antenna system with the software via keys is included as a basic functionality.

Antenna Pointing Assistant (APA)

The APA tool is very user-friendly and can be operated manually by any non-technical staff member. It assists the user in correctly pointing the non-motorized Fly-Away antenna, with either an on-site, or remote installation. The APA is compatible with all ND SatCom technology platforms, via a WLAN connection. The installer can choose from two different versions: / PDA running Windows Mobile / Notebook running with Microsoft XP/Vista

Antenna control Units

Antenna Control Units (ACU) are available in three different versions: / ACU 5010 (for SkyRAY Light 1200) / ACU 5020 (for SNGs) / ACU 5030 (for fixed ground stations) The ACU 5010 and ACU 5020 are optimized to drive and control the SkyRAY Compact and SkyRAY Light 1200 subsystem (antenna systems for mobile ENG, SNG and VSAT applications), including the APS (Antenna Pointing System) for ND SatComs SkyWAN and SkyARCS modems. The intuitive system is easy to use. The ACU 5010 already includes the power supply for the SkyRAY Light 1200 while the ACU 5020 for SNGs has an emergency button plus battery option for secure stow functionality. The ACU 5030 is designed for broadcast uplinks and monitors and controls the ND SatCom Antenna Control & Tracking System (ACTS), which even allows tracking of inclined orbit satellites (interface to beacon receiver is included).
