Type CAG 11

Instantaneous Overcurrent Relay

Burdens AC relay : 0.5VA at setting current. DC relay : 0.1W at setting current. Operating time Typically 0.010 second at 5 times setting current. Contacts Two normally open contacts or one normally open and one normally closed contacts. The make and carry for 0.5 second rating of the normally closed contact is 3750VA with maxima of 15A and 660V. The break rating for the contact is half that given in the above table and subject to a maximum of 440 volts.

Operation indicator with an external timer. Relay type CAG 31 is a triple pole version of the above relay. A hand reset operation indicator is fitted when required. Insulation The relay meets the requirements of IS 3231-1965/IEC 255-5 C-2 KV for 1 minute. Case and finish Size 1/4N non-drawout case (single pole version) or size 1/2N nondrawout/1D drawout case (single pole/3 pole versions) suitable for flush or projection mounting finished

High speed operation. Compact and robust construction. Active action without chatter.

Settings Fixed setting upto 20 amps. ac or dc. Continuous coil rating Upto approximately two times current setting.

Used for instantaneous phase and earthfault protection.

Contact ratings Normally open contacts are rated as follows: Make and carry continuously AC 1250 VA with maxima of 5A and 660V 1250 W with maxima of 5A and 660V Make and carry for 0.5 second 7500VA with maxima of 30A and 660V 7500W with maxima of 30A and 660V Break 1250VA with maxima of 5A and 660V 100W (resistive) 50W (inductive) with maxima of 5A and 660V
