System Requirements
Minimum system requirements for the various components of Canto Cumulus systems are listed below. (Recommendations are shown in parentheses.)
Canto Cumulus Server

Using Windows Address Windowing Extensions (AWE), Canto Cumulus Servers running on 32-bit Windows can support a RAM cache in excess of 2GB.

Disc Space 400MB Memory 1GB (2GB+) Network TCP/IP Notes Cumulus Sites 8.6 and Cumulus Web Client 8.6 require the Cumulus 8.6 Server. The Cumulus Web Solutions installer available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions (for SOLARIS in a 32-bit version). Install the version most appropriate to your operating environment. If you run 32-bit versions of the Canto Web applications in a 64-bit environment, you must use the 32-bit version of the Java SE 6 SDK. The installer for Mac OS will automatically install the appropriate version (32-bit/64-bit) for the servers hardware. The Java SE 6 SDK, which must be installed before you install Canto Web applications, can be downloaded from the Oracle website. The Cumulus Web Solutions installer includes the Apache Tomcat 7.0.26 Web application server and the Cumulus 8.6 Java Classes. For user access, the most recent versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome are recommended. Other Web browsers will also work, but they have not been tested by Canto. The Cumulus Web Client relies heavily on JavaScript. Therefore, Web browsers that offer accelerated JavaScript performance yield better results for users.
