Gods Timing Stinks?

How many times have you prayed about a need/s and have found it unanswered, not met on the set time, or the need was met in a way that was not expected? God just never seems to be on time! The preachers tell you that He is always on time! No!...I hear you say! I needed my rent like yesterday!...My brothers sickness has not been healed !..... Sometimes you have prayed about a specific need and the answer has not come. Im sure someone out there understands what I am saying? The children of Israel wander around in the desert for 40 years in a journey that was only about 11 days....(that is 39 years, 11 months, and 28 days late!) Why is it that God is never on time? Or why is it that He never answers our needs in the time we expect Him to answer it? I have found it difficult to understand, yet somehow I know that there is a reason for the silence or for the delay in answering. In the case of the children of Israel, God tells them that due to their disobedience that they will not enter the promised land, except the next generation. Your disobedience to an instruction from God can delay your answer! I am not talking about general obedience like praying (you know you should pray), loving your neighbour, going to Church etc. I am talking about a NOW instruction from God that causes you to be a Kingdom influencer! Mary & Martha had the same problem when their brother died. He was dead 3 days before Jesus decides to turn up. One can only imagine how they felt.... What was Jesus thinking? Even though something is dead, or looks dead, it does not mean that God cannot revive it! Even though the due date for your answer in the natural has past, it does not mean that He will not provide. God understands ultimately why there is in our mind a delay. But, when He answers, you will know that it was a God intervening and all the glory will go to Him. God is all about establishing His kingdom through your life! The delay opens the door for His glory to be released and seen! You can see this when Abraham in obedience to an instruction from God is about to sacrifice his only son Isaac, that God supernaturally provides a sacrifice right at the last minute. Do not get discouraged about the delay in your need being met. Remain faithful to what God has called you to or where He has placed you. How he answers will astound you, renew your thinking, and establish you! No answer does not mean No God! It could well mean that what you asked for is not what you need. We must enlarge our tent...our minds and see beyond the natural. Too much stories to mention, but just a taster of what I have prepared to preach. You are Blessed Pastor Tony Sands
