ARRIVAL TIMES:- To save the confusions that occurred last year, we agreed at the AGM to
assemble at 9.30 am for sighters at 10.15 for morning and all-day shoots, and
people proposing to shoot afternoon only (where practicable) should arrive at
1.15 pm for sighters at 1.45. This may still lead to some loooonnngg lunch
breaks, but we could see no way to eliminate that risk short of doing away with
afternoon-only shooting. Our best advice, if this is a problem, is to bring a book.
It might also be nice to organise a picnic – just a thought.

ALTERNATIVE ROUNDS:- Except where otherwise indicated (comment column), any variety of the
primary round can be shot, so long as it can be accommodated on the
field. Check with the Field Captain and please accept that decision as
final – we don’t want argy-bargy on the field. Generally we are limited
to GNAS rounds when the field is laid out in yards or FITA (metric)
rounds when the field is laid out in metres.

PRACTICE:- Generally, Sundays are reserved for shooting rounds whilst weekdays are primarily for
practice and coaching. You may use Sundays for practice but must fit in with the
rounds being shot and must not distract the archers or ask for coaching / advice from
those shooting the rounds.

WEEKDAYS:- As soon as daylight allows (to be announced at the club and on the online notice
board) weekday evening shooting will move from Wednesday and Friday indoors to
Tuesday and Thursday outdoors, 7.00-9.00ish, finishing time largely dictated by
daylight. Access to the hall is not guaranteed in case of bad weather. These
evenings are primarily for practice and coaching, although you are welcome to shoot
rounds if you can fit in with the time constraints (daylight!). If you want to shoot
rounds during weekdays we suggest one of the "Warwick" series of rounds would be
most suitable (2+2 dozen).

BEGINNERS:- We shall have beginners' courses probably Tuesday evenings, dates to be advised. Club
members can still shoot as normal. Help is always appreciated (set up / take down,
coach) and some disruption is inevitable.

LEAGUE SHOOTS:- We send scores off for WMAS and CWAA postal leagues. Some rounds may be
changed to accommodate league shoots (e.g. Long National instead of Long
Metric) but we shall try to minimise disruption.

HANDICAPS / CLASSIFICATION:- Please ensure your score sheets are complete and signed (what
round? What bow type? etc) and put in the pocket “f.a.o. Record
Officer” in the rack. Outdoor season for handicap purposes is the
calendar year. The Records Officer will post a summary of
handicaps and class on the online notice board, and you can refer
to that (http://scacmessageboard.blogspot.com) whenever
you need to know them.

CLUB RECORDS:- If you believe you have beaten a Club Record, please bring this to the attention
of the Records Officer. No need to do that if you believe the Club Record has
beaten you!
