Saab Seaeye Cougar XT ROV Operators Technical Training Syllabus

Overview of the operators technical training course We have completed a variant of the below operators technical training course for several ROV companies here in the UK and overseas on Tigers, Lynxs and Panther systems. All attendees found the course very beneficial, personnel who have been using Saab Seaeye systems for numerous years have also benefited from the course. We have completed in the past technical training courses on behalf of Saab Seaeye, who have endorsed our training program for use globally with our clients and theirs and have accredited us a Saab Seaeye Training Centre. Saab Seaeye are giving Subsea Vision their full backing and any assistance we may require prior or during the training schedules. The course has been constructed for an operator and is designed to be a hands on practical course, this will assist operators in day to day operations of the ROV system. Our course goes through the entire system, step by step, ensuring the attendees understand each element as an operator before moving on. On arrival at our premises a safety induction will be completed, afterwards course manuals will be handed out. The manuals will be set out as the syllabus below; however, each section will have an expanded explanation and photographs. Our manual should be used in conjunction with Saab Seaeye manuals. We are an ROV operating company with many years experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, we operate the following Saab Seaeye free swimming ROV systems predominately in the North Sea for our clients Shell UK and Bluewater UK: Standard Falcon ROV Deep rated Falcon ROV (Safe area system) Tiger (Zone 2 system) Cougar XTC (Zone 2 system) We complete operators technical training courses on the above vehicles, the schedule below is for the Cougar XTC The Cougar XTC will be made available throughout the training course, a Saab Seaeye type 8 TMS will also be available during the training. The TMS will be fully operational. Its proven this style of course has given personnel more confidence in day to day operations on Saab Seaeye ROV systems. In turn, this approach will reduce down time and unnecessary operator induced faults. Course duration is 5 days Monday to Friday 08:00hrs to 17:30hrs. Tea break mid morning, lunch at 12:30hrs and another tea break mid afternoon. The course is very intensive due to the content of material we will be covering. Friday afternoon will be set aside for a course assessment. The course assessment will be on specific key areas of the whole ROV system, the assessments will be viewed by the instructor after completion and any weak areas will be overviewed again with personnel. Appraisal of each person who attends the course will be submitted along with their assessments after the course. Page |2
