5. Discuss with your group- How differently do you think it is to live in Nevada rather than in the Midwest? 6. CLOSURE: Discuss the four statements in the Review and Assess section TE 221 F. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding? Students will gather in small groups of four students per group and will discuss life here in Nevada to what they think like would be in the Midwest, including the weather condition in the Midwest. Students have reviewed the climate in previous lessons. G7.4.3A Compare and contrast rural, suburban, and urban settlement in Nevada. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. Students will get in groups of four and I will have them discuss with their groups how life is in our city compared to how it may be in the Midwest. I will be walking around observing and listening to their discussions, this will allow me identify students understanding. G. Reflection: 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? I think the easiest part to teach will be discussing our state as how it is now with tourist, and many of our parents working in casinos rather than in the Midwest were farming exist. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? I think the most challenging part to teach will be building on background knowledge because some students might have never seen or travel to a place where farming takes place. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? As an extension to the lesson, I would have students discuss what activities they would enjoy in the Great Lakes compare to Nevada. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts? For the students that who dont grasp the concepts, I would use the Reteach Mini lesson on pg 221. I would do this gathering in small groups.

5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I think this lesson can be modified by having students do research online, so they can get more ideas to incorporate into their discussion. Also, this lesson can be improved or changed by incorporating some videos to be viewed before we begin the lesson. 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? The most difficult part of this lesson plan was debating on the discussions, so I thought that by having students compare where they actually live to where other people live and how their states look like compare to ours, would give them a better over view of this lesson.
