Responsibilities of RNO Engineer:

Knowledge and practice of OSS, RAN tools: Configuration Management, Performance Management, Fault Management related e.g. PlanEditor, Radio Access Configuration tools, Optimizer, Reporter Knowledge on usage of various BSS features for improving and optimizing the performance of the network. Good communication skills and attitude for knowledge sharing. Customer service oriented. Able to work independently and as part of a group. Reliable and efficient targeting for good quality. Analytical approach and problem solving skills. Planning and organizing skills. Presentation skills. Dimensioning the BSS network (number of TRX, BTS, BSC) according to the coverage, capacity and quality requirements from the operator. Planning the sites in a RF planning tool (NetAct Planner) similar to Asset or Planet or Atoll defining their related parameters: site coordinates, antenna type, antenna height, antenna tilt, antenna azimuth. Model tuning and validation of propogation parameters Validating the site configuration in the field during the technical site survey visit and preparing the Technical Site Survey report. Setting the specific RF parameters for the site to be integrated: BSCid, BCFid, BTSid, LAC, RAC, CI, BCCH frequency, TCH frequencies, hopping parameters, neighbors scrambling code etc Analyzing site performance after integration through drive test measurements and/or OSS measurements, detecting eventual problems and recommending changes to fixing those problems. Defining Key Performance Indicators using RAN counters. Defining RAN default parameters according to model sites. Defining main alarms to be monitored regarding the indicators to be improved. Defining and monitoring parameter consistency check rules in order to Maintain RAN parameter database consistent internally and implemented according to the RAN default parameters and RAN planned specific parameters. Defining and monitoring KPIs reports on network, area and RAN level. Defining and monitoring worst objects" reports at Node-B level. Analyzing and troubleshooting worst objects" reports by recommending parameter changes, hardware changes or alerting O&M in case of hardware problem. Analyzing drive test measurements to detect eventual problems and recommend changes to fix those problems.

Requirements Formal Education Required: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics/Telecom Engineering. Junior Diploma HNC or equivalent Kindly note: a.
