INTRODUCTION
India is a subtropical country. Hence it is exposed to three different seasons namely summer, rainy and winter. In both summer and rainy seasons we are subjected to very hot condition; hence we need air conditioners or air cooler systems in these seasons. Both air condition and air coolers need electrical power to run unfortunately in summer more than 50% power cut could be seen in our country due acute shortage of power
[1]

. On the other hand in summer we receive

maximum solar energy which can be utilized for different purposes such as electrical energy conversion using solar cells, water heating, cooking etc. The solar energy can be used even for cooling with little modification of solar water heater
[2]

. Solar energy is available plentiful in

most areas, which also represents a good source of thermal energy. Of the various solar air conditioning alternatives, the absorption system appears to be one of the most promising methods. Since most of the power consumption in vapour absorption system is by heater, it can be reduced by replacing conventional heater with the hot water from solar heater [3].

OBJECTIVE
To design and fabricate vapour absorption solar cooing system using ammonia-water refrigerant. To evaluate the performance of fabricated system in different environments. To estimate costing of cooling system. To compare it with the conventional system.

METHODOLOGY
# Step: 1: Data collection related to solar energy available throughout the year. # Step 2: Collect the inforamtion about the solar water heater methods and specifications. # Step 3: Design the vapour absorption method and its parameters. # Step 4: Fabricate solar cooling system using both sloar water heater and vapour absorption system. # Step 5: Conduct performance and efficiency of developed system. # Step 6: Costing of the system. # Step 7: Generalized the design based on the required cooling compartment size and working temperature range, accordingly volume, concentration, flow rate, and other parameters.
