MOTIVATION:

India is a leader in Solar PV, wind and biomass and ranks among the top ten countries of the world in renewable energy. India has witnessed an exponential growth in renewable energy sector achieving a total installed capacity of 17,174 MW which is about 10.4 % of the total power generation capacity. Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has ambitious plans for growth in solar, Generate 20,000 MW from on-grid solar power by 2022under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission. The RE sector in India is currently estimated to employ 3, 50,000 people, which includes both direct and indirect employment. The employment in RE is expected to increase fivefold to reach a figure of 13, 95,000. Leading Companies working in Solar Field are Tata Power Solar, BHEL, Vikram Solar, Moser Baer, Jain Irrigation Systems, Emmvee Toughened Glass &Photovoltaic, and many more. WHY SolApp? Main objective is to: Develop scientific temperament and strengthens curricular concepts Make students conceptually and practically aware about the upcoming alternative energy solutions Nurture creativity and innovation Provides Joyful and Meaningful Learning Experience Provide an insight into emerging sectors and over whelmed job opportunities

In ongoing cutthroat competition it is mandatory for every engineer to understand and become proficient in upcoming technologies. By the end of this workshop students will become capable enough to design and develop their own projects and to change their own ideas into real practical models evolving solutions that would benefit the society and nation as a whole.
