Integrated Automation Totally integrated automation (TIA) is a strategy (philosophies/architecture) in the automation technology, which was developed since 1996 by Siemens Automation and Drives. This strategy defines the interaction of extensive single components, tool (SW) and the services (spare part service, etc.) to achieve an Automation solution. The interaction performs integration across the four automation levels of the automation pyramid: 1. 2. 3. 4. Management level Operators level Controllers level Field level

The consistency of TIA offers a simplification and cost savings to companies involved in the value chain (OEM, System integration planner and end customer).

SITRAIN-INDIA: Siemens provide all its industrial training through Sitrain India duly affiliated by Siemens GMBH. SITRAIN provides training on the following category: Industry Automation (PLC/HMI/SCADA/DCS) Process Instrumentation (Level/Flow/temperature/Position) Drive Technology (AC/DC/Servo-Motors/Power Electronics) LV-switchgear, switchboard & Energy Management Systems Mobility (Rail coach/Locomotive Drives/Rail Signaling) Mechatronics (Level-1/Level-2/Level-3) University basics courses

Apart from that SITRAIN provides customized training programme. 2.0 Purpose of Training & Product Familiarization Siemens has provided automation technology to the 4.0 LLPD Biharsahrif Dairy project plant executed by NDDB at Biharsahrif, Nalanda. As part of the package NDDB officials & well as COMFED officials have attended the programme for product understanding & familiarization. To understand SIMATIC PCS-7 industrial automation one training programme was conducted of 10 days at Mumbai. Followings were the main objective of the training: A. B. C. D. E. F. G. Automation knowledge at industry level Gain knowledge on SIMATIC PCS-7 Familiarize with the product & its architect. Interaction with instructor for knowledge sharing Practical problems encountered at dairy during processing To enrich skills for the effective functioning of dairy plant To improve performance of the participants.

Knowledge Gained: a) b) c) d) e) f) g) Understood the basic fundamentals of automation architect. Gained basic theoretical knowledge on automation. Undergone hands on experience on PLC kit. Undergone practical problems through exercise. Gained preliminary knowledge on SIMATIC PCS-7. Appeared in the exam at the end of the programme. Interacting with COMFED officials & knowing their Problem at plant level.

Programme Schedule for SIMATIC PCS-7 In view of liberalization, skill enrichment of human resource is assuming a pivotal place to become effective and competitive. Practicing automation engineers need an understanding of the basic theoretical concepts and practical hands on feel of dairy processing operations through PLC/SCADA in order to make them members in solving problems. Accordingly this programme is aimed to provide a preliminary understanding of Siemens product SIMATIC PCS-7 along with hands on experience on operations to the dairy personals. The pedagogy would emphasize participative learning through lectures delivered by Siemens instructor. Contents The programme makes an effort to facilitate participants to understand the basic contents from the automation architect, programming knowledge, WINCC application, hardware, software interface etc. Training covered is as per following mentioned topics. Introduction of automation system architect Requirements & Functional process description System design and component specification Implementation test and commissioning SIMATIC Manager Stations and network configuration- HWconfig and Netpro. Continuous functions CFC Monitoring and controlling-OS Sequences-SFC User Block-attributes and visualization Managing the PCS-7 documentation Syntax-rules Demonstrations Index & technical brochure

Participants Desired The programme is exclusively designed for Electrical Engineers, Automation Engineers, Dairy Plant operators, DCS managers & programmers for Industries.
