Step 2 (20 minutes)

Teacher play the CD ROM. Teacher shows the screen viewing different kinds of trees. While watching the video, students list down the parts of the plant that they see on the screen. Teacher will pause at certain parts and ask question referring to the picture on the screen. Note: Teacher use Science Year 3 Teaching Courseware CD. Topic: Knowing the external features of plants.

Step 3 (15 minutes)

Teacher instructs students to go outdoors to get samples of different types of stems, leaves and flowers. Group 1: woody stem

T: Class, You are going to do a group work. I want you to go out around the school compound, and get 2 samples of:

Classify the pictures and paste them into your scrap book. Hand in your scrap book next week.
