Trysil is Norway’s largest ski resort, and we have several ski experiences lined
up for you to enjoy. You can read more about our ski offers on skistar.com/
trysil. This brochure gives you handy tips and hints that will help you to get that
little bit more out of your stay and make your skiing holiday a perfect one.
Are you ready?
Have you remembered to book a ski pass, lessons at the ski-school and
your ski hire? You can easily do this at skistar.com/trysil. Book what you
need now to save time when you arrive in Trysil!
An easy trip
No matter whether you arrive by car, bus, boat or aeroplane, Trysil is easy
to get to. It’s only 2.5 hours from Oslo by car. You’ll find detailed directions
to Trysil on skistar.com/trysil.
You can also download a map with directions to the two largest reception
areas in Trysil. Please note that there are some roadworks between Oslo
and Trysil this winter. Follow signs for Elverum and Trysil.

New in Trysil
New hotel complex
The Radisson SAS Resort Trysil is this winter’s
latest addition to the Trysil offering. The com-
plex includes a huge water park, spa facility,
bowling alley and games simulators. All this
in addition to a great selection of restaurants
and food outlets.
The water park has two children’s pools, a
large main pool with currents and a deep pool
with a glass climbing wall above it. You can
also test your skills in the only indoor surf-
waves facility in Scandinavia. The spa and
well-being facility has ten treatment rooms,
two Finnish bath houses, a Turkish steam bath
and a large relaxation area.
Take a trip to the hotel and try out the great
facilities!

Other news
• A glass-covered transport belt running from
the Radisson SAS to Torghuset at Trysil Tur-
istsenter is being built.
• A new lift is being installed in the Eventyr
slope, parallel to the existing one, to increase
capacity in this popular kids’ area.
• A service facility with child-friendly Smotte
toilets is being built at the bottom of the
Eventyr slope.
• The ski hire outlet at Trysil Turistsenter has
expanded its premises for this year’s ski sea-
son.
• Many food outlets and shops in the resort
and in Trysil town centre have been given a
facelift.
Ski holiday advice
Dressing for the weather
Trysil winters are great, but they can also be cold. Make sure that you and
your kids are wrapped up warm when hitting the slopes or just spending
time outside. Wool and fleece are good under- and middle-layer fabrics.
Your outside garments should be windproof. Mittens, sturdy shoes and
warm socks are also a must. Mittens are warmer than gloves. Don’t forget
to wear something warm around your neck and on your head. Please wear
a helmet on the slopes.
Currency
Most shops and restaurants in Trysil accept credit cards. There are two
staffed banks in Trysil town centre. There are also three cashpoints in
Trysil town centre and one at Trysil Turistsenter. You can use these to with-
draw Norwegian kroner.
Trysil’s lovely shops
There is an ample selection of shops and services available in Trysil. You
will find several well-stocked food shops in Trysil town centre, at Trysil
Turistsenter and at Trysil Høyfjellssenter. The food shops with the long-
est opening hours are open Mon–Thu 08.00–21.00, Fri 08.00–23.00, Sat
08.00–20.00 and Sun 11.00–20.00. Most goods are very reasonably
priced, so there is no need to shop for food before arriving in Trysil.
