Happy Spring Time. I love this time of the year as well with the Cherry Blossoms and the birds chirping. Its been great doing some winter hiking and snowshoeing with friends and also some outreach as well. Just to update you all on what has been going on this past few months. First of all I want to thank you for your faithfulness in praying for me and supporting me financially. I never get tired of thanking you for your support. January was a month to catch up on sleep (jet lag) and rest after being away for 7 weeks and preparing to start my ETS classes. There was Mission's Fest on Feb .25-27. It was great fun to meet and talk to people and testing the kids on their memory verses as they want to get a DI pen!! Also I thank God for peace and comfort as I remember my mother's first anniversary of her death. February was a month full of love from friends and family. During Chinese New Year's time, I was giving out tracts (Red Packet with Blessing- VCAC got them from HK ) to Chinese and other people at the Mall, T and T store and on the Streets. Overall, people were quite receptive. Then on Feb 10, my Book 6 ETS student arranged an Outreach to Langley Seniors Village. I donated about 50 Valentine Cards to them. We had singing, children's singing with actions, ETS Testimony by Arlene (also now in Book 6) and sharing of the Bridge Illustration by Arlene. It was a joy for me to serve the Seniors as we go to talk to them too. I missed going to Seniors Home (my mom was at a home before she passed away). I also attended a Valentine Celebration at Tricities International Community Church. I still had fun with my Book 3 students even though I might have been the only single there!! March brought in DI Half Day of Prayer. It was wonderful to catch up on prayers and people as well. I also attended a Basic Creation training by Mike Riddle from AnswersinGenesis. On March 31, LWCC arranged another Easter Outreach to the LSV. This time we were able to stay longer and even shared the Bridge with one 82 year old lady!! We continue to praise God for their openness in receiving us. Living Word Christian Church also holds a Prayer Meeting there on the last Wednesday of the month. God is Good all the time. I have been blessed to see my students being so passionate about sharing their faith, leading the classes and exercising what they have been learning!! That's what true Discipleship is!! Passing on the baton and not entangling in civilian affairs but be soldiers of the Cross !! (2 Timothy 2:1-4) Please continue to pray for them as some will be graduating this June. Please pray : Good health , Wisdom and Strength to serve the Lord. 2 Missions trips for me this Summer : Mexico (new area) in July and Kenya in August. Safe driving and protection around the Lower Mainland ( quite a few close calls!!) Blessings to you all, Belinda Poon
