RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS IN MYSUGAR COMPANY LTD.

With reference to the present scenario recruitment and selection gains importance as every organization has a unique method for recruiting people and selection procedures are also different.

For recruiting people there are many rules and also each category is different i.e., w.r.t. The cadre or position they are appointed to. There is a minimum % of reservation and also qualification needed in order to

select the person for that particular job.

The authority also differs for recruiting and selecting people. A good recruitment policy is based on the organizations objectives, complies with the government policy, and results in successful placements in the organization at the minimum cost and time. This topic is a very important aspect as human resources cannot be replaced by technology.

Introduction

Recruitment is the process of seeking and attracting the right kind of people to apply for a job in an organization. Recruitment in any organization is effected by various internal and external factors. The process starts with identification of the need for human resources and ends with getting the prospective employees to apply for the vacancies. A good recruitment policy has to be flexible and proactively respond to changing market situations.

Selection is the process of evaluating the qualifications, experience, skill and knowledge of an applicant in relation to the requirements of the job, this process is based on recruitment policy of the organization. The selection process also uses background investigation or reference checks to check the authenticity of the information provided by the applicant. Finally, after an applicant is selected, the offer is made to him and on acceptance, the placement process starts.

Scope of the study

This study is applicable to the entire My sugar company ltd., as a basis to plan its growth and use on the same line on applicants and employees who need to get recruited. It is helpful to any

applicant of Mysugar company ltd., , as it helps to analyze the recruitment and selection procedure of Mysugar company ltd.,

Objectives of the study

To analyze the recruitment procedure, policies and rules of MYSUGAR COMPANY LTD., To have knowledge about the training programs conducted at the organization before and after recruitment. To gain an insight about the selection process and criteria for the candidate to be selected.

The method adopted for collections of necessary information and valuable data for the edification of this project report are mainly drawn from:

Primary data. Secondary data.

Primary data was collected from personal interview with managers and other top officers of mysugar company ltd., mandya through a questionnaire

Secondary data was extracted mainly from various sources viz., handbooks, magazines, Internet.

Limitations of the study: A major constraint for any study is the limited availability of time. Though a thorough attempt has been made to include all aspects relating to recruitment and selection process, there is every possibility of some aspects being left out due to the policy of the management to keep them confidential. The study is purely of academic interest and to get practical exposure but the inexperience makes the study less precise than professionals.
