We use the present perfect to talk about something that happened in the past at an unspecified time.

We form the present perfect with the auxiliary verb has/have + the past participle of the main verb Example: i have just eaten a sandwich. Time markers Just: we use just in affirmative sentences Already: we use already in affirmative sentences. Yet: we use yet in negative sentences and in questions. Ever: we use ever in questions Never: we use never in affirmative sentences For and since: we use for and since to talk about something that started in the past and continues in the present For+period of time: for a week, for two hours, for three hours SINCE+THE POINT IN TIME WHEN IT STARTED: SINCE MARCH, SINCE 2009
