SAT EXAMS

SAT exams taken in United States of America for admission to bachelors program in colleges. The first test is prepared by committee headed by Princeton psychologist Carl Campbell Brigham on June 23 1926. Its name have changed several times, it was first called scholastic aptitude test, then the scholastic assessment test but now it is empty acronym. SAT held seven times in year October ,November, December, January ,March, May, June. Student can take admission to any course except medical or law after giving SAT exam. SAT exam can be given more than once but not more than twice.

Eligibility for SAT exam :

Completed Class 12th education board. from a recognized Indian university or

The students are required to take up further tests; personality test, essay writing and much more depending on the university or college want to apply. The score ranges accepted by colleges consider the mathematics and verbal scores.

Application Forms for SAT :

Forms can collect from College Board and students from India can register online. The SAT exam is divided into SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject based test .it was formerly developed, published and scored by Educational Testing Service. SAT Reasoning Test divided into three sections Critical Reading Mathematics Writing

These sections scored on the scale of 200 to 800, writing scores contains two sub scores and scores range from 800 to 2400 combing the 3 sections. The Critical Reading section is made up of questions regarding reading passages questions based on the passages. The Mathematics Section covers arithmetic, algebra, and geometry questions. Writing section consist of two section essay and multiple type. SAT REASONING TEST duration is Three hour twenty minutes.

THE SAT SUBJECT TEST :

SAT subject test includes subjects like English, History, languages Mathematics and science consist of multiple choice questions. Assess knowledge of specific subject. Duration for the SAT subject test is 1 hour. There is certain subject questions asked in unique pattern.

Rules of SAT Exams :

Calculators can be used for geometry problems and questions involving multiple calculations. Each questions carry one mark and negative marking for wrong questions. Questions which are not attempted are not counted.

Preparation for SAT exams :

Reading novels, essays, newspapers, English movies can be helpful for verbal sections. Reading dictionary regularly. Making list of new words. Learn prefix, suffix and work on logic puzzles. Study previous test papers. Study at least four month before exams.
